I really do hate Hauritz.

I have never liked him as a cricketer.

Against West Indies in the Ist One Day Match when Brian Lara was belting him every where, he did not once try to.....

* Mix up the pace.
* Put the ball in a different spot on the pitch.
* Give the ball a bit of flight.
* Bowl a different ball.

Instead he.....
* Was scared to try something different.
* Was intimidated
* And did nothing different, AT ALL!

And i thought to myself "O.K., he is bowling against Lara, one of the best batters the world has ever seen, he can be excused."

Then against Pakistan yesterday (Wednesday 12/01/05) he dropped the easiest catch, really it was easy, no pressure or anything. He went down on one knee, didnt watch the ball, and let it go passed him with out giving it chase. He didnt need to go down on one knee, he could have caught it at stomach height quite easily.

Then when Pakistan played some shots down to Third Man where he was fielding the attempts to stop 4 runs was pathetic. Lazy and Pathetic would be the way i would described it. Letting a few boundries go to the Pakistanis when it wasnt even there.

Then he came onto bowl to an out of form Paki middle order, and started off O.K. but as I said that was to an out of form Paki middle order. Then suddenly he did exactly what he did with Lara. Had no variation, no flight, NOTHING!

And the worst part is HE put them back into form. Isnt he meant to be helping the Australians not the Pakistanis?

After our pretty good start with the bat, we lost a few wickets. Which happens in cricket and you need to steady again and concentrate. I always thought Hauritz could bat a bit. But after yesterday I was disgusted, he lost his wicket like he didnt care, didnt care about his integrity or about Australia.

Now, I'm not a good cricketer, i'm far from it, but the thing i do know is that Hauritz cannot bowl, bat or field.

When he plays for Queensland in the ING Cup or Pura Cup he can do what he likes, but when it comes down to represtenting your country with the most dedication and enthusiasm i dont want Nathan Hauritz any where near the Green and Gold.

To be fair to him, as an offie, there's very little you can do differently when you're bowling to Lara. Bowl outside leg perhaps? Okay Lara would sweep you. Bowl outside off? Lara would cut you. Bowl at the stumps? Lara would smack you down the ground and out of it

I don't rate Hauritz as a spinner, but bowling to Lara is the most thankless task of all time for a spinner, and also quite frankly, Haddin sold Hauritz down the river by bowling him for that long at that stage of the match against Pakistan, of course he was gonna get smacked, always gonna be, but Haddin kept him on. That's not Hauritz's fault there that he ain't good enough to bowl at the death yet his captain thinks he should.

Bowl outside leg and put a catching man there. Tempt him into the shot.

But Hauritz is a spastic and should never where the Green and Gold again!

IMO that's suicide, Lara will find the gap 99 out of 100, and bowling that line would risk conceding wides.

Whats the go with this tripe? He bowled to Razzaq yesterday, showed some confidence and flighted the ball, got smacked, because someone flighting it late in the innings is gonna get smacked. But we dont question why Haddin put him on? Or if it was White he would have been lauded for trying to play naturally or Haddin would have been lynched.

Thankless task.

Well thats what im saying, he flights the ball at the wrong time, he has terrible decision making.

He should know what ball to bowl at which time in the match.

He is meant to be a proffessional. Thats a joke.
