Not too shabby tonight! Some of the players who have been down on form over recent weeks, look to have hit their straps. Lucas battled hard and Heffernan looked to get some of his touch back. I thought Rioli showed West Toast what they won't be getting next season...
Lloyd and Hird? Pure class!! What more can you say? Lloyd will kick his 100th against Richmond on Friday night! No doubt about it!!! :D
Okay...my votes:
3. J.Hird - The guy is a freak!! Plays 2.5 quarters...and wipes the floor with all of em.
2. M.Lloyd - Resumes where he left off. He is a collosus!!
1. M.Johnson - Proved how valuable this guy is. He was killing em in the back half and rebounded time and time again.
Special mentions to Lucas (1st quarter - got the ball rolling), Mercuri (some of his taps and passes by hand and foot were magic), Rioli (freak of nature - i marvel at this guy) and Wellman (like a rock at CHB - another great game).
It's been a great weekend...the treble is complete!! Liverpool wins the Super Cup, Colliduds get knocked out of the finals race, and Essendon smash the Wiggles. :D:D

Not much else to say really :(
Except that I thought it was terrific that Sheedy & the boys not only congratulated Kempy at the end, but stayed out there to watch the entire tribute too. You'd expect a team leading into a strong finals campaign to get off the ground to start stretching and all, and as a (albeit devestated) Eagle fan up in the stands bemoaning the loss of yet another club hero, not to mention terrible effort, I was really impressed with them.
With tonight and the Lockyer incident last week, are you guys vying for the 'AFL niceguy' title? ;)
*btw, if you wonder why Essendon fans get a bad rep, should've seen the f*ckwit sitting behind me tonight :mad: Even his fellow bomber supporters were embarrassed by him.... I know you're not all the same, but this guy was the worst I've ever seen. :(

It wasn't Arch was it :D Sorry we didn't catch up with you at half time, did you end up meeting Arch at all.
Anyway, I loved the game, more than made up for 99 & we didn't get thrown out this time, fortunately I was sitting in a sea of red & black. I would say the crowd last night looked like it was about 40% Bombers.

LOL, thought crossed my mind actually, but no... this guy was unbelievable... spent the night babbling in my ear about being pushed down the stairs by Eagles fans in 99 [a) how is that my fault, b) I wouldn't have blamed them if they had ;)] .... :mad: But anyway, yes I did end up meeting Arch for a bit of the third quarter, and if his directions had been even half decent I would've found you both at half time ;) Next time though, OK?

Just dropped in to offer congrats on the win and kudo's to your players and Sheedy for staying out and paying tribute to Kempy. Very nice of you guys to do that for a legend.

By the time I finished behind the bar at my footy club (on the other side of town) it was too late. I had to settle for the abc's webcast though I missed a fair chunk of the game due to "technical difficulties". Fortunately my in laws have optus and have kindly taped the game. Not quite the same though.
