channel 10 insist on cutting to ad breaks before a segment of the simpsons has ended
although i've silently put up with it for about two years, tonight it went too far. in the episode where bart is stuck down the hole, the ad breaks cut in before the final gag even made it out
how on earth does goign early to an ad break help channel 10 - the editing might save them 3 seconds at most over the course of half an hour?
i don't understand the rationale behind it. over the course of the year, this editing out of gags and end-of-segments might earn channel 10 4 or 5 advertisements...
it's not worth it 10. cheap scummy effort, and now it's getting worse and worse. why not bail out in crucial points of the show into ad breaks if its that important to you.

They're interested in the $$$$$$$ rather than the viewers getting the best out of a show. All tv is becoming a disgrace in this regard, we got foxtel partly due to there being no ads, that soon changed!

It's not just the Simpsons. Last week I watched a movie, and at the end the music was cut and adverts were played on the top two thirds of the screen, while the film credits were scrolling by at lightening speed at the bottom of the screen.

I remember earlier in the week 10 cut off the grandpa Simpson gag where his pants fall down for the second time at the cemetry.
Really poor IMO. Not quality viewing at all when funny scenes from TV shows and movies are being cut out.
Thank goodness for The Simpsons on Fox8.They don't maul episodes like ch10 do.
Have you ever noticed that when ch10 have TS on at 6pm weeknights it starts at exactly 6pm but it's usually finished by 6.26pm.
That shows you they're mauling episodes. Each episode is 23 minutes and then you add in the ads.
Thank goodness for The Simpsons on Fox8.They don't maul episodes like ch10 do.
Amen to that!
I easily watch at least 2 hours of Simpsons a week, and none of it on free to air.

I hate Channel 10. They always advertise their programs during film credits. Sometimes I want to see who a certain actor was. Or sometimes its peaceful to just sit back and enjoy the music, no other noise. Peace like that is rare my friends!

amen Sports Capital - there's a funny gag on the simpsons itself about ads ruining credits, everyone reading this should be way ahead of me - It looks like "brad storch", no "betty simington". ;)

well, at least they didn't cut out the gag altogether
it returned to be completed on the other side of the ad break

Yeah atleast foxtel is fine :D And yeah, it's not just on The Simpsons.
They cut out bits and pieces of the simpsons too like when chief wiggum is in bed and the tv says that his genitals have been left withered haha
It's not just before the breaks either. When Grandpa Simpson say's to grandma simpson "your a disgraceful mother and i'll never forgive you!" A few seconds later he say's "can we have sex?" but ten cut that part out. Yet at other times when Marge is going to prision Homer say's "i'm going to miss you. And it's not just the sex" And channel ten allow it. I guess that's because it's a longer scene. At the end of the episode with grandpa and Bart who have just lost the paintings to some german guy he say's "get a room" as he drives past them and they cut that out.
