...if I boo, which I didn't . Do Messrs Darcy and Grant have a problem with the booing this week? Due to family committments I could not attend the match on Sat night, but I am led to believe a number of Doggies supporters booed the team at 3/4 time.

However, if I had attended I would have more than likely stood up and applauded them for their (collective) efforts. NOT. Yep, I will shell out for three or four memberships next year, and am entitled to attend matches at Colonial Stadium next year free of charge, assuming of course I don't have the audacity to stand and boo my team for another #$%weak performance.

Sentiment amongst the supporters seems to be swinging towards outright anger and contempt toward the playing list as a whole for the inisipid performances of the last half of this year. I am proud as punch to be a Bulldogs supporter, and expect the team to put in a half-decent performance most weeks. This was not.

Didn't hear any booing myself - but I was on level 4 and on the other side to where it came from at the Freo game anyway.

I wouldn't boo the team (we've had this chat before) and didn't last night. It was an ordinary effort and our season was shot for certain at 3/4 time, but the 3rd quarter was far from our worst quarter for the year. Yes, we all felt disappointed because we knew the 3rd quarter demanded that something extra as it was our final roll of the dice and it just didn't happen. But there wasn't anything unusual about the way we played in the 3rd quarter. I recall sitting there thinking it pretty much summed up our year. It was basically the performance you would expect from 10th vs 3rd.

At the beginning of the year I thought we were a 6th to 10th side. As it turned out, on average our top 6 had an "on par" year (a couple a bit up and a couple a bit down) and there was some promising signs amongst the kids, but the middle bracket simply had average years. All up, 10th is about where we deserved to finish.

So now we look to next year. The fact is we are still missing quality talls and strong midfielders. I know that Wallace's draft philosophy is you pick the best that is available at the time regardless of type, but I think it should change to you pick the best tall available regardless of the raps on the 65kg 175cm wingman you would be foregoing. We've covered the smalls pretty well in the last few drafts, now let's fill the holes.

I understand the philosophy they will adopt this year is to keep all the draft picks, keep all the rookie list players, keep all the development players (Skipper,Bruton, etc.) and all the kids.

The ONLY players to go will be older players.
