What is wrong with our big blokes? They can't seem to take any contested marks at the moment. Grant, Bandy and Bowden are all struggling up forward and Darcy and Minson are struggling around the ground while Rawlings is forced to punch down back. All of our goals at present are being kicked by midfielders. If only we had Fevola and Whitnall to look for when streaming out of the middle, which is another problem we have in that we are being cleaned up at the clearances. Does anyone else think that we should swap Grant and Rawlings, and let Rawlings do what we recruited him to do which is give us a target up forward?

I'm of the build from the back school - defence has been a problem for us for years.

Grant doesn't look like a FF, let's say he plays as a lose sweeper across CHB. Harris looks a better FB, so leave him there. Rawlings to play mostly CHB, but also seriously give one of Morgan, Wight, Skipper or Walsh a go.

Re full forward, give Bowden or even McGuinness a go. Big problem is CHF - Bandy doesn't look up to it and at best is a third tall. Anyone for Darcy at CHF as the best of a bad lot? Presumes we play Street & Minson in the ruck.

If you are struggling up forward as well, you can't possibly afford to have a sweeper at CHB...that means the opposition have a loose man down your back half making it once again harder for your forwards to gain control.

Also, having someone loose down back invaribly means they will be picked up after a few minutes, as was the case when Whitnall kept dropping back against Melbourne last week.

I think bigs across the whole AFL are struggling, as their don't seem to be enough skilled youngtsers coming in to take the place of the older brigade... i.e Hollands, Gasper, McKernan, Grant, Carey last year, Richardson etc.
