I think when we play Freo next week in a practise match we have so many valauable players out worth putting out a bunch of young players

Exlcusions: Bandy, Bowden, Gilbee, Johnson, Murphhy, Boyd, West

Inclusions: Wight, McGuiness, Brad Murphy, Smith, Street.

B: Cross, Harris (takes best fwd), Grant (2nd best fwd)
HB: Koops, Morgan (3rd fwd), Griffen

I think our injuries are Robbins, Birss, Hargrave, Wells, Morgan (might be back), Johnson, Gilbee, Bandy, Boyd, R. Murphy, Hahn and West.

I'd also rest Darcy and Grant.

My side would be:

B: McMahon Harris Williams
HB: Power Bowden Koops
C: Ray Cooney Giansiracusa
HF: B. Murphy Rawlings Smith
F: McGuinness Walsh Faulkner
R: Minson Cross Eagleton
I: Street Griffin Skipper Wight McCormack Thompson Harrison Tiller

No argument with that for me.

We have no choice but to go young. It may be a blessing in disguise. Some young player gets his chance and hopefully shows something.

What other [fit] players are there to come in apart from Harro?

Should be interesting to see how the young guys go.

So match Bowden up on the Pav? Would be an interesting assignment for him.
I think Harris might get that assignment though. I think its time to unleash Griffin rather than start him on he bench, the selectors appear to have indicated he is ahead of BMurphy at this stage. Skipper could probably use a full game at centre half forward

Whats up with B Murph this year? He starred in the last couple of games last year. Should be getting more of a go.

Was really impressed with Damien McCormack in the intra-club game, seemed very tidy with his disposal, hopefully he gets his chance in Gilbee's spot. Hopefully if Morgan is fit he can play down back with Haris and Williams, with Wight rotating off the bench through there.

Would really like to see all the talls given plenty of game time. Even if they get smashed, move them around from one possie to another - Walsh, Wight, Skipper, play them all! Also B Murphy's absence puzzles me somewhat. Obviously not for lack of ability etc. Maybe they want to get him doing some team' things etc that he may not be adhering to???

He looked dreadful against the aboriginal all stars - It just looked like at this stage he doesn't go in hard enough or do enough of the 1-2%ers i.e chase tackle, smother, shepherd etc.
