Does anyone on this board seriously believe that Freo would consider hiring Ken Judge as its new senior coach? Or is this rumour about as viable as the one that said Terry Wallace was already signed up? :)
(btw, anyone got Drummy's phone number? :D )
Whilst it makes for a nice story, there is no way kenny boy will be coming down to freo!
Last night I went and heard Phil Smart, and Cameron Schwab discuss recruiting and coaches etc at a fremob fucntion - and from what was discussed there, I will bet any money that Chris Connelly will get the gig, and I dont have a problem with that selection in anyway, shape or form!

Dammit Mr Eagle, you scared the hell out of me with that title.
Let us hope not.
Even if Ken Judge is a good coach it would not look good for Freo if we pick up a west coast reject. We are our own club who can make our own decisions without wearing "big brothers" hand me downs.
If it was to happen and backfired the "I told you so" mantality would be huge.
We are our own club Balip so why should we take any notice of what West Coast do. The fact that they sacked him shouldn't influence our decision any more than if they delisted Daniel Kerr and we decided to pick him up.
Do you think Dennis Pagan worried what it would look like when he picked up Peter Bell, Spider Burton and the rest.
We have to make our own decisions without worrying about the Eagles one wayor the other.

Shane Ideally that would be the case.
We should be able to and probably would make our own decisions, but the media in this state is very pro Eagles and would jump on Freo any chance they get.
If it was to back fire the media would have an absolute field day in their critisism of Freo. Considering the position that we are in at the moment where we are trying to establish our own identity seperate from the Eagles and the WAFC I just don't think its in our best interests.
In my view appointing Ken Judge would not do Freo any good. (unless he turned out to be a super coach in which case we could stick it up them big time)
While I can see where you are coming from re Burton etc. there are 42 players on a list so if it didn't work it would not be as noticable as an incorrect decision over a senior coach as there is only one of them.
