Here is a description of the game from Toyota's website:
The first half of the 1921 Carlton-Richmond preliminary final was played in ideal conditions, with the Tigers going into the break with a 13-point lead. A massive hailstorm hit the MCG at half-time and, when play resumed, the ground was covered in hail. The playing surface became a quagmire as rain lashed down and lightning flashed overhead. To add to the drama, a behind post was knocked out of the ground and had to be replaced. Richmond held on to win by eight points.
Sounds like a great game. Anyone know if there are any photos of it around? Or perhaps some forum members will kindly tell us about when they were there :)
