Des Headland has been dropped for the final on the weekend to make room for Mal Michael. Could this anger him so much to make him wanna come home to US! I hope so, would be good to have him back.

Doubt it. He's played 20 games this season with Brisbane, has an established family in Brisbane with a baby and could easily get a finals recall if not this year than next year.

Yeah, GoEagles is probably right, Des is fairly well entrenched over there now. No harm in asking though.

One question though, apart from being No.1 draft pick has Des done anything else to suggest he is worth chasing? I really am unsure of how his form has been (getting dropped for Mal M is not agood sign).

For me, I can't understand why they dropped him. RacerX, he must be doing something right to get 20 games this season. He has been in good form, and I think he would DEFINATELY be worth chasing!

He has been really dissapointing since he was drafted.

I reckon the only reason why he got 20 games this season was because of the lions depth. That is, they could afford to have him running around because the other 17 players could cover for any bad performances by him.

You know what i mean? They could afford to play him in the hope that it would aid his development/improvement.

Somehow i think if the lions were offered a top 20 draft pick they would seriously consider the trade. Its not as if he's a vital cog in their squad.

Hedland hasn't done jack since being drafted by Brisbane. I wouldn't want him if I was you.
