Although he is in the top 5 players at Essendon, in terms of pure talent, hell, hes in the top 5 in the AFL for pure talent, he has had a very ordinary year indeed.

He has the potential to be a HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE drawcard in he trade season, definetaly worth a round 1 and 2 pick (probably more). With you guys needing to make room for the salary cap, i would think that Mercuri could defeinetaly be under pressure to retain his spot.

Ah, his signed a 5 year deal this year. Fortunatley he won't be going anywhere. robert walls, the clown that he is, suggested a while back that we trade him. His had one off year, that's all.

for essendon's sake hopefully it is just one off year, because they could be rueing that 5 year deal if he doesnt get back to his best.

Also, from a fans point of view, hes close to the best player to watch in the AFL, so itll be good to see him back at his best (just not against us).

Why would we want to get rid of Mercuri anyway????

He played a good game tonight.
