After todays effort does anyone disagree that this bloke is finished at AFL level. He may be one of the fittest at the club but that counts for little if you dont have any other particular skill involving the actual use of the football. Ordinary mark, No leg speed, Abysmal decision making under pressure, No idea where to position himself in order to give teammates under pressure a chop out in the back half. Better off playing another kid.

Yep. I don't want to be too harsh on the bloke because he has been serviceable when on the park in the past. No doubt he is trying his best. Unfortunately his best isn't good enough.

I've had enough of the "let's wait and see if he comes good because he'll be the answer to our problems if he finds form" line of thinking. The bottom line is he hasn't come good and will not come good. Today he was a liability, there was even a stunned silence across the ground when he goaled. Time to hand his spot over to Minson or Skipper.

Has to be dropped. Awful decision making, can't mark, terrible disposal. Bring in Will, Walsh, or Skipper immediately!

He's a player out of form but nothing more than that. Needs a spell with the Bee's but I suspect he will work his way back into the team.

I heard Eade being interveiwed after the game tonight.

I think it's highly unlikely DB will be going to Perth.

wholesale changes this week, let the team know its not acceptable, too many acceptable losses.

Minson should have been playing ahead of Bandy today, that's for sure.

I completely agree, atleast Minson can hammer it down our end of the ground

Couldn't agree more! What has Bandy got over Minson? My answer...NOTHING!

Bnady would consistently get more of the ball than Minson because he can get to more contests and is a little more versatile. However, Minson would have much more presence and I feel the contests he provides would be more effective.

Amazing how others are overlooked and the blame is solely put on Bandy. Our whole team bar a select few are and were disgraceful. Like i have said before, how do Boyd and Birss see 1st team AFL football. If anyone thinks that Birss deserves a game more than Ray after that abismal display of football, then this game is probably not for you. I got pounded for saying that Birss should sit out before Ray, well i hope i have my point.

One of those select few of players that can hold their heads up high did his knee, im afraid to say we are now officially a rabble. For those who think my critisisms and pessimism in the past and present have been harsh or dont understand why i can't be upbeat and hopeful, i hope today has answered all your questions. Until some heads roll and our list is seriously jigged (as i expect it too at years end) our club is going nowhere. Rod is a good coach with not much cattle that can do the job. Unfortunately our 2nd tier is not as good as is made out and they simply cannot do the job. Look forward to another long and painful year.

Hopefully common sense will prevail, some over rated under acheived players will be given the boot. KPP draft picks and smart recruiting will see us play good footy next year. Our forward line today was laughable and had it not been for Johnno i shudder to think what would of happened. Too small up forward nothing to kick to. I thought i was watching the Sunshine Dragons with some of the skill errors and decision making going on out there.

If we cannot do the job against the Tigers of teams, then what does that say about us?

Lastly, if were going to be this bad with a so called full list, why not roll some heads into the VFL and bring some young kids in who want to play. I think that our rebuilding has just started so i am in favour of blooding more youth, if were not gonna give the 8 a tilt, bring in kids. I can garuantee you they will do no wosre than the so called good second teir we have

I also listened to Eade being interviewed after the game and he actually let out a chuckle in exasperation when asked about Bandy, before composing himself and trotting out the party line, about making a good effort, blah, blah, blah.

having said that he is in no way solely to blame for todays debacle, I have never seen a team with less composure under any sort of pressure as I saw today.

Got to go now I believe. I gave him a chance he really did seem to do a bit last week. Bring in Minson and give Darcy some time up forward. It would have helped today considering Richmond threw 3 ruckman at Darcy.

With Harro & Harris gone, Bandy will be there this week at Subi, for better or worse.

Disagree strongly. He is playing like Eagleton did in his worst period - i.e. not even able to force a 50/50 contest and continually giving the footy to the opposition.

? harro and harris are defenders, so depending on werribee, i'd see maybe williams come in for his first, and possibly morgan. Morgs was on the best list for werribee and he needs to be given an opportunity down back.
I'd see bandy out for sure, especially from eade's reaction. I heard that response and thought that's it, your off to werribee. It was quite clear that in the crucial moment at the end of the game, even with effectively 1 person on the bench and johno appearing injured, he didn't want to put bandy on, not even in the goal square. I'd say minson walsh or even street who kicked four goals might get a game for bandy. Also griffen power and murphy apparently did well so there could be some wholesale changes to the team.

I don't think we are that bad, sure it was bitterly dissapointing, especially loosing to a dud side like richmond. We were in control of the game for most of the day but failed to capitilize and ended up in a close game when we should of won easily. Of course we are still pretty flaky in close scenarios and if it weren't for a few bad decisions and bad kicking (guido) we would of pinched it. I guarentee if we guido had of kicked that there wouldn't of been any negative posts about overated players etc.
except the bandy ones that is.

Yes, meaning that Rawlings & Grant will probably have to stay down back.

My general point is that we are now down 2 experienced talls, and I wonder whether Eade will voluntarily get rid of a third.

I had a bounce in my step after I got the news he was dropped. He has been nothing but a liability since halfway through his first season IMO.

This year has been woeful.

And yet Eagleton was able to turn around so why dont you believe Bandy can?

Bandy was a good player when he first came and if he can spend a month playing in the Bees and get his form back then I'd like him back in the team.

Eagle, terrible as he was, was only 23yo at the peak of his slump. Bandy is 29yo, and injury prone. IMO, it was a mistake to give him a 2 year contract at the end of last season. The only winner out of this will be Werribee.

That news just ruined my day I was hoping that he had a 1 year deal and he would be one of the delistings. A two year deal is a mistake ouch!
