View Full Version : Ted Richards
Now a few people have complained he never gets a full game to show what he can do. Well he was on the field all day today and to be honest i expected more from him. Not going to write him off on one game but i wasnt overly impressed today , he seemed to lack judgement going for the ball , had several fumbles and he got well and truely beaten for speed a number of time by John Barker.
Needs to find a bit!
For some reason, unknown to me, the fans seem to love him. He's got a bit of a cult following. I don't think he's anything special. There is no one particular skill, which he is great at. He doesn't get the ball much, is a so-so kick, doesn't mark the ball as much as he should.
Trade bait, for mine.

He's ******** end of story, had his chance and blew it, time for SAm Hunt who was awesome for Bendigo to get a game.

He was below expectations today, though i don't think he had a shocker. Don't think he'll be anything special but could be a handy defender, so i'm hoping he gets a few chances to prove himself.

Sam was great for Bendigo , his defence was fantastic as virtually no marks where taken on him or in the area he flew. His run was great the only problem was the ugly kicks he came up with 4 or 5 times . We have enough turnover merchants going around at the moment without putting another one in the side.

I'm not convinced either and I don't understand the infatuation some people have with him. I do have a problem with the way he is treated though, because it seems like he is on a much shorter leash than some of the other players on the list.
He'll play a good VFL game, get promoted, do SFA in the seniors, and get dropped. Which makes sense, but there are hacks who do SFA in the seniors week after week and get away with it.

My thoughts exactly. Watch for Richards to be dropped again this week. I personally think if he plays in the side it should be as a mobile foward because our backline looks quite good and is the only thing saving us lately. However he is a fringe player at the moment and needs to do more to prove otherwise.
