I am mad!! Pick up the Herald-Sun this morning, flick to the Sports section. I open up the first page, and low-and-behold, there is another article devoted solely to the Matthew Lloyd/Darren Gaspar incident! But this load of crap written by Damian Barrett left me fuming!! :mad:

This paragraphy got to me the most:
"If Lloyd was to be charged, and found guilty by the tribunal, his chances of playing in the Grand Final would be remote, given that he has been suspended twice for a total of three weeks this season"

Now what gives Damian Barrett the right to pre-empt the tribunal and advise them on what penalty should be handed down??? :rolleyes: This is a total and utter joke.

Greame Bond and Rohan Connelly are going hammer and tongs right now on 3AW. Bondy says that there was no similarity b/w the Archer and Lloyd incidents so he should be suspended. Rohan was going to punch Bondy in the nose.

I have never seen such media interest in something like this. Why is everyone targeting Essendon?!?!? Everyone is forgetting Voss' sleeperhold on Carr and Lynch's decapitation. But Bondy says there was nothing in those! :mad:

Richmond supporter just called 3AW and said "Lloydy has nothing to worry about!"

This is really annoying me as well. Gasper and Lloyd were both in each other's faces, and even though Lloyd made contact with Gasper, there was absolutely nothing in it.
I can't believe all the fuss about it, and if Lloyd gets suspended then I'll...I'll...I don't know what I'll do.
Personally I think sanity will prevail and Lloydy will have nothing to answer for. The media must be struggling for stories to have blown this very minor incident into the big event that it has become.

I posted on the main board about this beat up, gaspar the octopus, was allowed to hold onto Lloyd all the time, it wasn't a one off, he continually held on to him & the umps did nothing, wonder why Lloyd got frustrated.


Also when Lloyd took the mark to bring up his 100th goal, gaspar threw himself sideways to land on his head, this was after the mark & they were both on the ground, to me it was a deliberate attempt to cause injury & should be cited for unduly rough play.
Then Mc Avaney when talking to Jackson after the Hawks/Swans game asked Jacko what he thought would happen regarding the Lloyd incident, **** the media are going to make sure he gets rubbed out.:mad:
