Might be simple things like comming from behind with half the normal starting side out and winning the last game of the season, and now Kozzie winning the Rising Star Award, but surely saints fans can look forward a little more comfortably to next year.
Whether it's Grant Thomas or that bloke from the softies, the list will be cut of the drift wood - I'm talking about you Tim Elliot (another great game on the weekend for Springvale) - and with the board taking a new no nonsence approach, perhaps we might have ourselves a serious footy team or at least a team that can be taken seriously. I'm predicting the same if not a few more memberships bought this year.
I'll be honest, I didn't buy one this year 'cos I thought they needed a year to get things back on track and I was a little disalutioned with the saints. Basically I've taken a year off AFL footy and gone to every home game of my team in the EFL and about half of the Mustangs in the VFL. But I will buy one next year and I reckon the numbers will be about the same even without the hysteria of "the ride of your life".
We've hit rock bottom, now we need to bounce up bigger and badder then ever and let everyone remember why we are the best supporters in the AFL.
