Unfortunately, due to the problems in the US, the Kiwis have decided not to go to Pakistan.

It is yeah....I'm not sure if it has been cancelled or postponed. I guess with the new test championship structure they will have to go there at some stage. It will be interesting to see how many others cancel their tours to Pakistan whilst these problems are occuring and how this will affect the test championship system.
On a lighter note, our cricket season has got under way here in sydney and my team managed a score of 212 last Saturday! I got 26 and took a bit of a battering from their opening bowlers, but set a good platform for our middle order. We had them at 2 for 35 at stumps....looking good for a victory next week...hopefully an outright!:)

I can't see any side going over to Pakistan, until any retaliation by the Americans is over. If their is an all out war, their may not be any Cricket in Pakistan for years.

A point of interest-Javed Miandad was NEVER given out LBW in a Test match in Pakistan(these were the days before neutral umpires)

Have a look at how many times Bill Lawry was out LBW in Australia, the same as Miandad in Pakistan.

Bill Lawry: I have just done a check and he was never out LBW in a Test match Australia. One would think that he might have been a very lucky cricketer.

It would actually help the current international crisis if NZ did go ahead with their tour.
Cricket is a higher passion in Pakistan for moderates and fundementalists alike.
A good dose of cricket could actually stop Pakistan sliding into civil war !

a) Ansett was in HUGE trouble financially long before AirNZ came into the picture. Ansett screwed up Ansett, face facts.
b) What the hell does Ansett/AirNZ have to do with the NZ cricket team?
