View Full Version : Does Sponsorhip Affect You
Does a Club sponsor affect your purchasing decisions? I thought it was interesting that people keep bringing up Vodafone and Port, because Vodafone is primarily a pre paid carrier (at least in this country) and that the the stereotypical demographic of Port supporters would suggest that they would be Pre Paid mobile owners......
But my question is, does a sponsor of your club affect your purchasing decision if you are in the market for what they offer? I mean, I wouldn't fly Emirates just because they sponsor Collingwood...
but do others ?
Disregard the blatantly wrong word in the poll as well ;)

Not really. If I see a product made by someone who sponsors my club, I'll think "Oh, they sponsor St. Kilda", not "I'll buy that because they sponsor St. Kilda".
if that company offers discounts to Docker members due to their affilation then yes it would.

To an extent they do. Well the ones that offer legitimate specials to the members I should say make some sort of difference.
Member only phone deals with AAPT that are better than the advertised ones for the General Public. Member purchase nights at Clive Peters electrical with extra special deals on LG on the night. That sort of stuff. For example we want to buy a new fridge, we know we'll get a better deal than anywhere else at one of the member nights, so we are holding out till then to buy it.
