Well no huge surprises here...
FREMANTLE
B: Parker, Haddrill, Mundy
HB: M.Carr, Thornton, Grover
C: Black, Hasleby, Walker
HF: Headland, Pavlich, Bell
F: Farmer, McPharlin, Medhurst
FOLL: Longmuir, Cook, J.Carr
I/C (from): Johnson, Murphy, Sandilands, Schammer, Siegert, Smith, Webster
IN: Haddrill, Murphy, Sandilands
OUT:
I'd expect Smith and Johnson to get a run off the bench, 211 will only play if JLo is out. So 2 of Murphy, Schammer, Webster and Siegert will play. I'd guess Murphy and Siegert.

I would give schammer a go in the WAFL, his form has been slow, very slow. Schofield should be right for selection next week, so come round 8 our midfield should be at it's very best

I doubt very much that Schofield will be considered until maybe Round 8 v's Hawthorn or the week after that...he is coming back from 2 operations, would be no need to rush him straight back. I'm hoping Johnson, Webster, Siegert & Schammer are the bench. Schammer only for his pace ahead of Smith, Webster ahead of Murphy only for his aggression.

Schammer ahead of Smith at the moment? You've got to be joking! Smiths bringing something to the team right now, Schammers trying to play himself into some form.
To me Schammer and Siegert are at the back of the line for places in this weeks team. Smith and Webster I have alot of time for. Schammer needs time at the "AFL Retirement Home".
Don't rush Schofield, he has to break into the Subiaco midfield first. Is he that good?, I'm wondering if he is rapidly rolling down the other side of the hill in relation to his "football worth".

Hopefully Murhpy gets a run in our new look forward line. It'll mean the focus will be off him and will have the 3rd best tall defender on him rather than the 2nd.

Schammer should play in the WAFL. Give him a full game in the midfield.
Danger game. Collingwood has more to play for than when they beat us last year and always seem to play Subi pretty well. The making of our team will be when we don't only beat the weaker sides, but we smash them. We can't have the inconsistency of losing to Richmond, or Hawthorn and Collingwood last year. Thankfully, I think the coach and players have finally realised this.
I like Smith, as he's pretty hard at it and have some time for Webster too. It's good to finally have a number of young players fighting to get in the team and the established players (Macca, Woods etc) who will need to be bloody good to get back in, and play like mad to even keep their spots if they do. Frankly, I don't like their chances from now on in.
So lets have a great win, hopefully by 7 0r 8 goals plus.

There's a couple of doubtful starters for the Magpies, Prestigiacomo, Ben Johnson and Morrison are all doubful. Josh Fraser wont have fully hit his straps yet but is always dangerous.

Horses for Courses.
Agreed Bobby is playing better than Tequilla at the moment...BUT, Collingwood killed us last year with their pace, which sadly Smith clearly lacks. Schammer hasn't had much game time, & yes a run in the Wafl would be a good thing, but I'd play him purely for his pace coming off the bench this week ahead of Smith. Then next week V's Essendon I'd bring back Smith & play Schammer in the Wafl to get some run in his legs.

This from an article on the collingwood web site:
Having caught some of the Dockers on the telly on Saturday, I’ve got faith that we can turn it around. While there’s no doubting Pavlich is a superstar, the chances of McPharlin booting a bag up forward two weeks in a row are thin. And Jeff “one good season in ten years” Farmer has kicked his bag for this year to ensure he gets another contract extension so will be more interested in praying to the Gods above and fighting than playing footy.
They also talk about Chad Morrison being likely to be the player to pick up Pavlich.

Bwaahahahahahahahahahaha! :D
Prestigiacomo and Johnson are now out for the pies and so I would be disappointed if Fremantle don't take advantage of this and turn this game into a serious percentage booster!

oh i hope thats true. morrison is so unaccountable he practically needs an audit
im not sure i really like the idea of murphy being the third tall forward/forward flanker. hes more of a leading and marking type, and to get full use id say you would have to use him from deep in the square as a pocket, then run farmer across the half forward line (which he has been enjoying recently anyway). make macca the pack marker, murphy the leading target, medhurst the crumber and wiz and pav the mobile half forward goal kickers.
sounds pretty dangerous to me. that sort of forward line wouldnt need much in the way of directed ball. if we can further develop the run and gun style that was so effective last week, mark, play on, kick to packs and contests and back each other up, i think it could turn into a legitimate gun forward line.
i like the idea of longmuir just following the ball as a tall midfielder and centre square linkman/pack mark. follow the stoppages, thats the way to get the best use out of him.
things will look so much better down back when polly is back, roger returns and hadrill is back in some form
the midfield, as ever, is the key. much depends on carr, carr, hase, belly, blackie and DJ. but the load is lessened on these blokes when we have a dangerous and lively forward line
Haddrill in, Schammer out. Murphy, 211 & Schammer as emerg.
Wouldn't surprise me to see Siegert miss and 211 play though. Maybe they reckon even if JLo is injured, MJo can handle Fraser.
Murphy was in Melb last week, why drop Schammer if you aren't going to give him a full game with Claremont and EF have the bye.

Whats the deal with that? I though Scham was with the Sharks?

Nope he's a Claremont boy!

he will dominate for claremont this week. In the long run going back to claremont will be good for schammers confidence
While Chad Morrison on Pavlich is a stupid comment, Morrison has been good for us this year often as a tagger, he played great on Koutafides and on Hird. However he is unaccountable at times. The problem is he can't tag his opponent out of the game, as well asdamaging the other side, he is either too accountable or too loose, he doesn't know how to get the balance like the top taggers do (Ling, Kirk, Licuria, K.Cornes, J.Carr if you can call him a tagger anymore).

Schammer and Murphy both played WAFL today so it leaves Sandilands and Dunn, Peake leftover because East Freo has the bye this weekend. Apparently Warren was v good for the monts today.

We'll have Schammer if you don't want him!
