Freo fans reckon Pav is better than Riewoldt (Not fans on here friends) I just wanna get this settled what player would you rather at your team?

Pavlich in my opinion
He can play almost anywhere and is all class ;)

Where as Riewoldt can only really play CHF

Their skills are close enough but revolt is an egomaniac, pavlich for sure and im an eagles fan !!

I reckon you'd have to give Pav a whole season at CHF to decide. That said, Pav gives us great flexibilty - he's currently carving it up at CHF, and already has AA selection at FB and on a HFF.

I wouldn't swap them, but I'm sure most Saints fans would say the same.

Don't think the gap is a big as you think between the two. Pavlich can play anywhere on the ground, he's a freak. I honestly wouldn't know which one i'd take. Probably Pavlich at this stage, but I wouldn't refuse Riewoldt either........

I agree that Pavlich needs to play a full season at CHF before its fair to judge the two. But, simply because I'm a Freo supporter I'd take Pav any day.

Pavlich easily.
He can play anywhere, whereas the other one is a one position player.

Pav, following reasons reasons:

More versatile, tougher player, better clubman imo. Reevolt the better CHF though.

Speaks very well, would be great for promotional purposes and advertising.

Reiwoldt-gets to alot more contests and is more consistent and moe likely to kick a bag. Id only take Pavv if I wanted a CHB

I'd rather Riewoldt, but there isn't daylight between the two.

I see most of the freo fans have voted for Pavlich.
One question for the neutral fans who voted for Pavlich over Riewoldt is -- WHY ????

If I had first pick of any player in the league i would choose Riewoldt, Pavlich is a great player but not in Nick class IMO.

I have been very impressed with Pavlich recently. Great kick, mark... would be AA CHF at the moment. The way he carved up Collingwood was just humorous, created goals, kicked goals he did it all.

Riedwoldt has been injured so its hard to compare. Will be interesting by the of the season!

Riewoldt because he's more versatile.

Riewoldt because he's more versatile.
Huh?

Pavlich can probably play any position on the ground bar ruck

cschreuder61

Riewoldt because he's more versatile.
Don't agree, Riewoldt is probably more of a CHF, and probably has the points over pavlich there, cause Riewoldt has had success there for a while, but Pavlich can play midfield, half back flank, anyway but ruck. So Pav is more versatile. That's what makes it such a hard question.

We're pretty happy with our CHF, so Pavlich being able to play different positions would have my vote..... having said that, Riewoldt will surely make his mark in history. At this stage, Pavlich's versatility and consistency is hard to go past.

reiwoldt, can beat the best defender on any given day, not sure if pav can do that just yet...

Pavlich can play all over the ground whereas Riewoldt can only play forward/CHF. But being an Eagles fan we have the midfield and backline covered but were screaming out for a quality tall forward.

So I chose Riewoldt.

I forgot about your superstar Center Half Back.

I forgot about your superstar Center Half Back.

We dont have a superstar CHB but our back six work together and play very well together. Our backline is pretty solid. We could do with a great CHB but we havent had a dominant tall forward since Sumich.

Riewoldt would be perfect.

would take players in this order.
not counting their ages

tredders
riewoldt
brown
pavlich..........lets not overrate pavlich on 3 blinders against some pretty ordinary defences.....collingwood,melb,carlton

there isnt really much between the top 3 in my opinion

He was no match for the mighty Ray Hall.

Kapow!!!

He was no match for the mighty Ray Hall.

To beat a quality defender you need to receive the ball from your midfield and receive it direct. I doubt Pavlich (who was one of those with the Stomach virus going into that game) would've been a great influence on the game even if he wasn't crook and was in his peak form because to put it bluntly, in that game the only time we ever got it from our midfield were through wide plays along the wing...what's a CHF to do in that situation other than create contests and drift towards FF?

Riewoldt for mine. But then, I'm biased. :D

Wouldn't swop the guy for anyone.
