Just to add to players not on scholarships from haileybury: Magner, Silvani, McKillop, Godbehere, Hill, Driscoll, Dickson and Andrews. All players who would have played on the weekend if not injured.
All schools give scholarships, it's not Haileybury's fault they have more clams to toss around the place.

I agree completely, every school gives two or three. But Haileybury is the only school that has scholarship players running round in its seconds.

You haileybury guys must be proud. Scholarship boys are coming into your school to play football, and just football. Don't interact with anyone else.
I wish my school gave away 10+ scholarships a year so i could watch people i didn't know and who don't care about the school to play footy for us.
Haileybury is a joke of school.

Top Call Davo, furthermore, people who have played 7a's right up to 10a's don't get a game in the 1's because these 'generally excellent' students make up the side.

Exactly. Why would boys who have played A's footy all their life and finally reach yr 11 or 12 and think they have a good shot at playing 1'sts want to see 5+ (scholarship boys) come in this year and another 5+ next year then their chances would go from 50%>>>>0%.
This is why no 'normal' boys don't like any of the scholarship fellas because they take their spots. Why would anyone who has played 4 years of footy be happy when in the last 2 years of their school lives, they are pushed out of an opportunity by blokes who couldn't care less about the school?

It looks like the match of the round next weekend will be the clash of the unbeaten Geelong College and Haileybury sides. Both have been convincing in accounting for their first two opponents and this weekneds match should be belter. The Geelong boys will be running out with blokes they've played footy for years with at the school and just like in every other sport at the school none of its tream members will be sport or general excellence scholarship holders. Its refreshing to see some good old team and school spirit from those boys at Geelong. Good Luck
