No surprise LAX got the chop. It got a second life so was never going to survive in the long term.
8 Simple Rules going does not surprise either- the show has never been the same since John Ritter's death. I have seen the odd episode and it was nowhere near as funny as before.
Arrested Development has been given the go ahead for a 3rd season. :)
Joan of Arcadia has been killed off.

Joan of Arcadia has been killed off.
No surprise there. It was not a bad program but it could only go on for so long.....even the bests writers could not keep the quality storylines going.
JAG and Judging Amy have been cancelled.
Arrested Development has been given the go ahead for a 3rd season.
Very good show.

It finished in September last year, but another 25 episodes were made using un-used footage and were aired up until May 9 this year.
Whose Line episode guide (http://epguides.com/WhoseLineIsItAnyway_US/)
Yeah that's right. It actually hasn't been officially axed, but no new episodes are being filmed, and ABC are unlikely to commit to a future series. In the meantime, the WLIIA cast have moved on and filmed another improv series called 'Drew Carey's Green Screen' (which hasn't done so good).
It's a shame too because Whose Line is an awesome show.

Axed:
Grounded for Life
Summerland
Commando Nanny
Drew Carey's Green Screen Show
Jack & Bobby
The Mountain
The Starlet
Steve Harvey's Big Time
No Gilmore Girls, so there will be a 6th season. Hope so, but it schitz me that we still haven't seen all of series 4 yet.

My Name is Earl (20th Century Fox Television i.e. Seven)
- Stars Jason Lee (Judging Amy), Jamie Pressly (Not Another Teen Movie)
- Produced by Greg Dear (Yes Dear)
- A bully and low-rent crook (Jason Lee) wins the lottery and decides to right the wrongs from his past. He may not be the brightest bulb, but he's oddly effective.
Hope this one works.
Jason Lee is a god, don't see nearly enough of him.
BTW He was in Chasing Amy, not Judging Amy.
Arrested Development has been given the go ahead for a 3rd season. :)
Lovely.

Rapt that it's apparently going around again.
No doubt i'll have all the DVD's before they catch up on Foxtel.

Same Here. I got Series 3 from the States last week and watched over the weekend. It's such a funny show, it's a shame it didn't take off in Australia.

I only recently ordered the DVDs. The last of them, Season 3, should arrive tomorrow.
They're well presented DVD's with some good quality extras.
Just hope they continue releasing them quite quickly.

It sure is, Lorelai's sarcastic humour is great to watch. I actually enjoy her character more than the daughter. She's so quirky and hyper.

Yeah I agree, she makes the show really! Sometimes it can be a bit dull, but overall the show has grown on me.

She has some fantastic moments in Series 3, and her version of "Wind beneath my Wings" is hilarious.

They have been releasing them every 6 months in the USA, and with our strong dollar at the moment they are pretty good value, $60-65. Series 4 should be out in early December, so I will probably see them on DVD before the show is back on air here.
Also most episodes are over 45 minutes, which means Ch9 may have cut some scenes to fit in their required number of commercials.

I picked the first three seasons up from DVDSoon for a collective $140AU. So about $47 a piece, pretty good considering i'm only a recent convert so most of the eps are new to me.

I actually think they've put deleted scenes back in, and extended other scenes.
I've noticed on the first disc of the first set, ep times vary from 45 minutes to 52 minutes.

Cool, I have only seen season one so far but really looking forward to the next few.
I thought they might run out of storylines a bit but obviously not since they have gotten the go ahead for a 6th season.
Arrested Development - great show but I reckon we only saw the first 6-8 episodes of the first series. Would that be right?? When is it coming back to our screens???

Ch7 aired about 13 or 14 episodes [there's 22 in season 1].
Get the season 1 DVD.The episodes ch7 are yet to air are very funny.
Henry Winkler is excellent in his role.

They could've replaced Dennis Franz, but the show had struggled for the last few years so it was axed.
