I know the team will be announced later today, but I wanted to have a crack at it anyway
B Zantuck Fletcher Welsh
HB McPhee Bradley NLM
C Lovett McVeigh M Johnson
HF Solomon Lucas Rioli
F Lloyd Laycock Cupido
R Hille J Johnson Peverill
Int: Watson Monfries Winderlich Stanton.
Emerg: Thomas, Slattery, Murphy (is there any doubt he will be playing)
I think we got a great chance of beating Port. With Keps on Tredrea we can keep Fletch back and have McPhee roaming around.
I think playing 3 on ballers on the bench could help us run out the game and keep up with Ports midfield. We may need another tall but I think Watson could provide something.

Alvey and Murphy won't be dropped.
Alvey doesn't deserve it, and Murf just won't.

You forget who our coach is, nothing should surprise anymore. Lloyd could get dropped and i wouldn't even bat an eyelid.
I think Watson may come in for cartledge as the only change.

In - Solomon
Out - Cartledge
Go with the winning formula. The three ruckman did work well, but realistically Cartledge didn't do a whole lot. Full games in the two's will do more for his development than a quarter in the seniors.
I know Solly hasn't been in great form, but the weeks off will have freshened him up and if Tredrea gets on top, Solly is the only one I can see stopping him.
Slattery, Watson, Cartledge the emergencies.

May need 3 ruckman against Port as they have Primus, Brogan and Lade. Agree with you about making minimal changes though.
In : Solomon
Out : Alvey or NLM

Murp isn't allowed out, must be in his contract would be good though - only dud left in the team. Alvey needs games to prove himself good ball carrier, I would play an ex SA player maybe Monfries, Slattery or Thomas at Footy Park

Brogan wasn't picked last week. I'm pretty sure he was available.
There was a lot of word from SA that they three ruckman system wasn't working for Port and that the suspension of Brogan was a blessing in disguise.
Primus has started to hit some kind of form, so I doubt they would bring Brogan in now.
I think the extra midfielder will give us more, especially on a wide ground like Footy Park, than what Cartledge would.
Brogan becomes free to play this week.
My side therefore:
B: Welsh, Fletcher, Zantuck
HB: McPhee, Bradley, McVeigh
C: Stanton, Rioli, Murphy
HF: M. Johnson, Lucas, Watson
F: Cupido, Laycock, Lloyd
R: Hille, J. Johnson, Peverill
Int: Monfries, Alvey, Lovett-Murray, Solomon
Emerg: Winderlich, Cartledge, Thomas
Out: Lovett (inj?), Winderlich, Cartledge
In: Solomon, Watson, Monfries
Think Lovett might not play...there has to be a doubt after not even fronting at training yesterday.
Am expecting at least 1 late change to it as well, with Cartledge to give us further height should Brogan definitely be named (anyone's guess as to who would be out).

Surely Solly to come back in to play on Tredrea. I don't think Kepler can match him for strength just yet.

Lovett just had a bit of the flu and was given the night off. He'll play.
Predicting rain in Adelaide and in that case, I definately wouldn't be playing the three ruckman.

And Brogan played SANFL last week.

I'd rather have a slightly understrengthed Kepler on Treds than a half-fit Solly, dJ.

Except this time it really is the flu.
I guess this story is a bit like the boy who cried wolf.

I reckon the shower or two will hold off till after the match and if it does rain, it will be not enough to make the game a scrappy affair. Been that bloody dry here lately its not funny.
Pretty good team by the looks, hope u spank them (port)
