Just heard on SEN that Hird trained with Essendon this afternoon and is a chance to play on Saturday night.
It would be a big risk IMO.

Hope he's not fully fit and hope he plays, that would even the scales a little.

I don't think it matters if Hird plays or not.
Past history shows that if Port is on song, he doesn't matter, and if it isn't on song, we have bigger problems than Hird.

Just heard on TV that sheedy may be willing to risk a fine to play hird. This is where the AFL has to step in. No fine, just tell sheedy straight out: If he isn't selected, he isn't playing.
