Hey all, was just wondering how the other half of the Herald Sun shield comp was going, this is the ladder for the ACC sides with it looking like the Friars should be in the semis again this year and probably St Bedes as well. Who are the main contenders from the other sides outside the ACC?

St bernards are good, but compared to whitefriars they aint nothing but toilet paper the whitefriarers wipe their bum with.

Is Ryan Carafa any good? I've seen him in the paper a few times, just wondering how good he really is because Herald Sun Shield is supposed to be the best junior comp apart from TAC
watch out!!!

Every team has had injuries, hell we lost to you guys by 2 goals without Rees Thomas and a sick Dean Kelly as well as 3 other first 18 injuries. Injuries are a fact of life but i dont see you guys going close to whitefriars when it comes down to it.

We all know that the Herald sun shield is just a competition for dreg schools with crappy football sides that couldnt enter a mainstream competition like the APS.

Or for the schools who dont rely on the money to find themselves decent footy players.
Mind you half of the HSS are from the ACC, arguably the best schoolboy comp in the state, unlike the soft APS ;)

Despite the fact that APS always wins the annual APS vs AGS match and have more draftees then the AGS.

And the ACC teams win the herald sun shield
No one cares about the APS or AGS, bunch of rich, snobbish pricks. If the APS was in the Herald Sun shield, nothing would change, ACC teams would still win it and win it easily

say what you want about the APS, just remember more players are drafted from the APS then some league established to keep druggo's from dreg schools off the street. Stop posting and join the line in the dole office you looser.

Wrong.
As ACC plays on a Wednesday players can still play for TAC cup sides, so figures show that ACC have more players drafted then APS or AGS by a factor of almost 2 to 1. Check your stats if you don't believe me.

Note the word "OR" between APS and AGS, not and.
Combined yes then probably they might beat the ACC.
But individually the facts show that ACC has had a better record due to the fact that all ACC players have the opportunity to play in the premier Under 18's competition in Melbourne.
Can also expect up to about 8 ACC players to be drafted this year as well.
watch out!!!

8 acc players drafted, who would they be?

tubs weve had our disagreements but im with you on this one. Fact is APS is the premier footy comp and ********house schools that no ones ever heard of like the produce of my anus in the AGS and ACC dream of playing in the APS, not only for the reputation but so they can actually witness top flight school footy. APS ********in kicks it.

I'll throw up the names of Murphy, Wilson, Nahas, Higgins, Kelly, Thomas and at least 2 St.Joe's Geelong's players who play for the Falcons, forgotten their names, I'm sure someone will know.
Possible draftees, certainly there names are seen week in, week out in TAC best.

No one underestimate the boys from St.Bede's. They are a good solid football side who plays for each other week in week out.
They have a number stand out players, with the likes of Bowden at Full Forward kicking bags every week, Brendon Neville who is at the bottom of every pack and getting pssies will nilly, Sam Monaghan who is a very underestimated player for both the beda boys and sandy dragons and that is only a couple i thought i would like to mention to have been in good form.
So watch out for the boys from Mentone and do not take them lightly, give them the up most respect, other wise you will be run over.
