View Full Version : Votes: vs Footscray
3: Hird - dominated all day, set up a large share of our goals...the classiest bloke on the park
2: Hille - gave us first use of the footy. Very good around the ground.
1: Stanton - continues to impress, plenty of run and skills were good.
Apologies to JJ

Found it a bit tough to give votes this week. Was a pretty even performance by our top 10-15 players.
Solly played his best game of the season, as did Lloyd.
Dustin Fletcher was sensational again and Mark Johnson just keeps proving people wrong.
Stanton had a few ordinary kicks again, but the boy finds the footy.
David Hille makes a massive difference to our side.
Alvey was very good again and LM probably played his best game.
Please result. Probably should have won by more, but we kicked 21 goals without anyone kicking a bag. Kicked straight as well.

Solly played his best game of the season, as did Lloyd.
Wasn't Solly playing on Rob Murphy?

Wasn't Solly playing on Rob Murphy?
I didn't say Solly was in our best. Just that he played his best game for the season and he did.
He didn't pay enough respect to Murphy early and Murphy made him pay. But he wasn't on Murphy for the whole the game, but at the same time chopped off some entries. He made some great efforts, took some good marks and found more of the ball. His smother was one of the best I've seen. I'd say that is a fair improvement on previous weeks.
3 - Fletcher...dogs went inside fifty 60 times and fletch was the main reason it came rebounding out as often as it did.
2 - JJ....Hard as nails again
1 - Murphy..thought he was creative

McPhee, JJ just miss out.
Very tough to give votes. In the end I thought Fletcher won out for sheer pressure relief.
Hird gets votes because his better moments seemed to come against the
flow of play, where they arguably had more importance.
Lucas was a monster in the first half.
