I missed what hapened to him, but he didnt appear to come back from the rooms after half time. What sort of injury did he get and is it serious?

Nothing to do with his knees, thank God, was a rib injury I think.
It is a knee injury. Optimistic it will only be one week out but scans tomorrow will see the damage.

Reported on the news that he will have scans, Frodo is right
Doesnt really matter about Phil Matera inmy opinion. He should be given a few weeks in the WAFL. But if Gardy is injured (again) then that is a massive blow. Be good if he could play next week against the tigers.

Is this the 3rd time he's been injured this year?
Play him in the WAFL for 7-8 weeks it's a damn joke
It's getting annoying that he cant stay fit.

I think Gardiner should have two or three wks off have a few half games in the WAFL then come back to see how he goes. Bring McDougall back in give him a few wks if he is fit.
I think it might hurt our structure if he in then out all the time.

Damn, it will affect our structure but they should give him plenty of time to get fit after this setback.

After experimental surgery, and hey docters like to keep people waiting.
I feel that there is more to issue than they are letting on, he is obviously still having knee problems and I wouldn't be confident of him playing a major role for the remainder of the season.

The thing its the other knee he is having problems with now....
I dont wanna admit it but its looking that way. Gardy is the difference
beetween us winning a flag and not this season IMO. He really is that important. Stuff praying for Schapelle, lets start praying for Gardys knee.

Why? So he could get injured playing for his WAFL team?
Why is it every time we start playing good footy someone has to fall down with a bad injury. Happened in 2003 its happening again. They said on Fox Footy that it wil be around 3 weeks. I say give him 8 weeks and then bring him back. What is it with this guy! - He cant play 2 weeks in a row!

I reckon we should bring in McDougall for this weeks game. Gota have another tall up there if not just for a presence. It will be Lynch, Hansen and McDougall not the greatest forward structure of all time. But hey so far so good.

If we bring in a tall for Gardiner then McDougall is just about the only guy we have left. Our big man stocks are taking a hammering at the moment. Gardiner, Smith, Gaspar, Beeck and Graham are all injured.

What??
Why not give the guy a go. Last year he was doing well and against the tigers on a dry day could at least give the midfield a target. Then if he does play it allows Lynchy to go back on one of their talls if needed. Gotta think of the way he played against Mal Michael last year at the Gabba - Kicked 4 goals. Not all on the lead actually out bustling him and just because he hasnt played well in the WAFL doesnt mean he wont get his act in to gear when wearing that MIGHTY BLUE AND GOLD guernsey. I know I would!!

If they do and I really can't see how they can given his form or lack of it in the WAFL, one thing is certain - he'll get injured or supposedly injured!

Gardiners problem is that he snorts too much coke on the weekends to stay properly fit!

Unfortunately it is a strain in the ligaments on the knee he had the surgery on.
Doogs would almost certainly have to come in if we want to keep a reasonable amount of tall stocks in the team- with Graham injured, there really aren't any other tall options waiting in the wings, and we need an extra option against Richmond.
