Harvey has apparently signed a one-year deal to stay with Victoria.

That is interesting Bombers Forever, there was talk that he was offered a deal to head over to South Africa to play for a couple years.

It was reported on the 2UE news. And here is the story from the Bushrangers website.

Harvey signs with Bushrangers
03/06/2005

Ian Harvey has today agreed to terms with Cricket Victoria and will remain a Bushranger for season 2005/2006.

Harvey was optimistic about the season ahead. “I am looking forward to a successful season with the Bushrangers,” he said from the United Kingdom where he is currently holidaying between games in the county season.

The signature of Harvey is another piece in the puzzle for coach Greg Shipperd. “Ian Harvey offers the Bushrangers an enormous amount of experience and with a developing squad it is important we maintain players of this calibre in our group,” he said.

Haha, keep up the good work Jaymin!!!

I thought Harvs was going to Sth Africa too, but obviously he has decided to stay. Personally, I wanted him to stay but wasn't fussed at all if he had gone. He's not that important, but is still very handy at times.......
