View Full Version : 2nd Test: Windies v Pakistan @ Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica
1:05am start tomorrow morning. Fidel Edwards is out injured (again) while Dwayne Bravo has not recovered from his ankle injury. Tino Best and first test late withdrawal Ian Bradshaw are in the 12. Inzi and Shoaib are available after serving their suspensions, Youhana is still at home. Inzi said there'll be 2 changes (him and Shoaib Malik) and suggested Afridi will bat down the order after complaining about opening in the first, which is bad news for Bazid Khan and Asim Kamal, unless they drop Danish and use Afridi as the spinner. David Shepherd umpires his 92nd and final Test match

Lara's outstanding return after the sponsor's dispute continues, he's scored around 700 runs in his last 5 Tests at an average of almost 100.
Without knowing the full information on the Windies Test schedule for the rest of the year, it's likely that Lara will become Test cricket's highest ever run scorer in Australia later this year - either in the World XI match or in the Test series against Australia.
Pull out the 150 stats now, he made 153 before Shabbir got him with the new ball. Browne went 2 balls later and then Wavell Hinds and the tail wagged a bit adding 78 for the last 4 wickets to give them a 30 run first innings lead. Hinds last man out for 63, Shabbir 4/64, Danish kicked out of the attack by Hair for running on the pitch
Shoaib Malik made 64 at the top of the order, Inzi is unbeaten on 64 at stumps, and Collymore has picked up 3 more wickets to make it 10 for the match

Inzi 64* (89)

Really disappointed to see World XXX Naved injured. He had managed to push his career test bowling average out to 76 (8/613) and was getting smashed by every West Indies batsman who faced him. Can't help but think his injury may cost the West Indies this test match. Kaneria was pulled from the bowling attack for running on the wicket so Pakistan did their best bowling with two bowlers unavailable.
This test is in the balance and promises to be a cracker. With two days left either team can win.

Tino ran through the tail while Inzi made it past 100 as they lost their last 6/42 with the bottom 5 contributing 3 runs. Inzi finished unbeaten on 117
Collymore 4/56
Best 4/46
Then Danish destroyed the top order getting Sarwan hit wicket in the 18th, Lara caught behind for a duck in the 20th, and Chanderpaul lbw for a duck in the 22nd after Shabbir had got Gayle earlier. Smith and Hinds put together a 38 run partnership then both fell in the space of 20 balls to Razzaq and Kaneria

Pretty poor by West Indies, should've won but that's cricket for you, a big choke by them. Kaneria and Ahmed did well.
