I haven't seen much of him this year but Jars has played well and the 10 brownlow votes prove it ?

Should he be retiring ? What do crows fans think ?

NO! He should have given it one more year. I would say this would have to be off his best seasons ever.

Well Pess, I think he could have definitely gone around again next year if he wanted to- ignore a couple of quiet games at the end of the year- he would have played at full forward, kicked 60 and been very handy in taking the pressure off whoever we recruited for the forward lines.

He did however say that although his body was fine, he was mentally shot and couldn't play another year because of this. The grind of pre-season, etc. would have taken it's toll on him and while I would have loved to see Jars play one more season, I see no problem with him giving it away now as that is what he wanted to do.

I think retiring was the right decison.
It will put our recruiting staff under pressure also, to earn their keep and come up with a viable replacement for the future.
Keeping Jarman may have seen us less aggresive at the trade table :D

How about a change of scene within the AFL ?

Not a new club but one he is familiar with.
