Full credit to your boys who had a red hot go tonight.

It was good experience for us to play a tight contest in those torrid conditions tonight and relieved that we were able to come away with the 4 points.

To be a genuine competitor you need to be able to win all kinds of footy games including games like tonight.

In the end the 24 point margin to us was flattering. There was only a kick difference between the two sides most of the night, which is how it should of finished if the result was to be a true indication on how the teams played.

One again a good effort and good luck for the rest of the season.

Been musing about what would have happened if the weather had been, well, dry. For a start thought the 24 points would have been 44 and then decided Essendon could have actually won if the attack on the pill had of been just as intense. Would have been a shoot out with accuracy on goal being the decider.

Haven't heard Sheedy blaming the umpires. If he did it would be more to encourage his young players. Umpires were consistent all night. You earnt your scarf wave fair and square.

I've been musing if the game was played at The Dome and if we had Fletcher, Rioli and at least 3 fit players on the bench.

What do you mean the umpires were consistent? Consistently bad, the worst effort ive ever seen by them in years. The eagles had 25 players last night and it cost us bad.

My cats mate reckoned the umpiring was soft. I didn't think they were that bad. Some dodgey ones both was. At least they let the game flow when the ball was in the packs. Probably helped the scoreline.

Nice to see us get d*ck teased before st kilda smash us in a few weeks.

Neither side could say the umpires were against them. They paid the same stuff all night.

The only difference in the umpiring was the eagles got a couple of decisive frees inside 50, which cost us badly. I suppose our defenders just have to be a bit more careful with giving away stupid frees.
