Richard Cole - Not hurt, but not doing much in the VFL either. Completely out of form, still hasn't developed much of a footy brain.

Anthony Rocca - Just announced that he is 2 weeks away from being able to run, and 5 weeks away from being able to play, in theory.

Ben Johnson - Has a "corked thigh", but some suggest a slightly more serious injury. Still, should be returning against Sydney, especially with the Rhyce Shaw news.

Guy Richards - Back to health, I believe, now just trying to find his feet again to get back to footy.

Rhyce Shaw - It's as bad as feared, ACL tear. Seeing as Doctors have found ACL repair to be ineffective, that means it'll be a reconstruction, so he should be about right to return next year.

Just as a couple of extra tidbits:

- Billy Morrison played in the Williamstown 2's on the weekend (the Willi seniors had a bye) and kicked 5.0 for the day in a 123 point win over the Springvale 2's.

- Brayden Shaw also made his return to football in that game, gathered a heap of the ball and used it well.

More interesting player updates-

Bucks won't be playing against the swans, it seems he will be lining up for williamstown first.

Leon Davis isn't hurt, but reserves form hasn't been good at all.

Tom Davidson will be coming off long term injury list in the next couple of weeks after reinjuring himself in reserves warmup.

Ben Johnson, hasn't got a corky(as club officials has implied), suffering for severe soreness in his knee, should be an inclusion for swans game.

yikes

The game against sydney is in a fortnight because of the split round. He will play for Willamstowna and then against sydney the week after.

Billy Morrison - he kicked 5 goals for Williamstown reseves for god sakes. He is useless, I like youth, but he has done nothing. Played 2nds all last year, and has played 2 senior VFL games this season. In a total of 9 games in VFL Seniors/Reserves, he has kicked 6 goals. 5 came on Saturday.

Jebus dude!

Let the poor lad at least have a chance to lift his game. I mean sure, he mightn't have what it takes, but while he's on the list, positive results should be recognised.

Same goes for Brayden. Ressies or not, to see he's come back from a bad injury fit and finding the ball, is great news!

Brayden has had some good performances in the Willi 1's too, so it's more a return to form rather than a glimpse of something.

Brayden has the personality to succeed too, seems to have been humbled by three factors: His injury, Rhyce's big success (i.e. the bar is set high for him) and Heath's selection as an emergency multiple times, where he may have perceived that his cousins are passing him by.

He's seemed more recently to think along the lines of having to keep trying and keep at it, rather than before when he used to believe that he was a good footballer that would make it someday.

I really do believe in him now. He's slimmed down since his ankle injury too, so that should help.

Also, with Rhyce out, Heath should push for selection against Sydney again, pending his performance for Williamstown next week.

Okay, i am sure you think I am being harsh on Billy, and I know that, but plenty of people keep telling me through big footy that he is a good player, but the fustration of seeing him in the reserves continuously, and when he gets his chance he does nothing with it.

Why are we playing him at CHB when he has been touted as a great FF, and the 5 goals shows that.

I don't know. I have seen only 4 games he has played (and wasn't convinced enough) and has rarely had the perfomrances on paper.

Are you serious? He gets flogged here!

Don't ask me. Friggen the only game I saw him in live, was againt Port Melbourne and he was dead set used in the ruck and in defence. No seriously, I said RUCK!!

Our "Brains Trust" often exhibits signs of retardation. He makes J-Clo look agile in defence. He ain't, believe it or not, a ruckman.

He has however actually kicked bags of goals at low levels. Why he ain't given a run there for weeks in the VFL is beyond me. FFS his competition is Brent Hall and he's been shown all the faith in the world in this position with minimal results. Let Billy have a go!

Cole is crap. Rocca will make Collingwood alot better when he returns. Ben Johnson is good besides his disposal at times.

Tom Davidson injured himself in a warm up before game day?

What did he do?
