As expected Whitefriars College took out the ACC title today in scrappy conditions at Sportscover Oval by 25 points.
Very scrappy game of football due to the strong wind and soft ground, Parade to their credit played well and turned the game into a close, tight affair.
Whitefriars only showed glimpses of the free flowing football that has kept them undefeated throughout the year. Inaccurate kicking also hurt Whitefriars.
A good sign for Whitefriars that they can pull out their worst performance for the year and still be good enough on the day. However they will need to get back to their top form to challenge PEGS in the Herald Sun Shield Semi-Final.
It was the 2nd stringers that won the game for Whitefriars with none of the TAC guns firing, Whitefriars lost two players before half time and were looking in trouble only leading by 10 points at half time. Ryan Carafa was sensational and probably best on ground.
Well done to both teams on a hard, high pressured game of finals football.
