HEad High Contact

I went to the Caulfield vs Hailebery game on saturday and was sickened by the amount of times players with their heads over the ball were hip and shouldered by Hailerbery players in the head. 2 had to go off due to injuries sustained. All the umpires did was give free kicks. Is there anything else umpires can do to protect the player with his head over the ball? Did anyone else see these hits??

Mate there where no head high hits, they were all at the body and as for players going off injured i saw none, they may have layed on the ground for a while but no-one went off, get over it, it is a physical game.

Mate, the umpires were an absolute joke that day. It was the most byest display of umpiring I have ever seen, all in Caulfield’s favour. The ump was in a Caulfield top for god sack,, probably the principle. So get over it, your team got enough free kicks, "All the umpires did was give free kicks. Is there anything else umpires can do to protect the player".... MATE, what do you want the umps to do, 50m, send them off, a free kick is fair enough.

too right, bring back the biff. lets face it schoolboy footy while a high standard at certain games gets the majority of us excited only in the hope we see some hard hits.
