60 odd points I think it was.
Lets start with Mascot's
Pussycats (meowwww) v Tigers
Premierships 6 v 12
Current Tigers about 3-4 years at least behind Geelong, Geelong 11:50 on the premiership clock and ticking Richmond about 06:00 and just starting to tick.
Wheras Geelong are expected to be where they are ATM and we are not, I would say 1 game separating the teams at this stage if I barracked for the pussies I would be keeping my trap shut.

That's pretty much it. We've got a slightly more advanced list and a better midfield and defence but ABSOLUTELY NO FORWARD LINE. Richmond have an improving midfield, sometimes ok defence and 1 great forward. Problem is no one else helps him.

Browny was doing quite nicley, but Simmonds ans Staff need to lift to help the big fela, 4 goals on a busted up knee is pretty good, but wouldv'e kicked 8 on sat night if he played for Adelaide.

One,
someone is actually likely to pay up in the instance of $50. Not pike out at a $100 or something.
Two,

I think that 2 years would even be a pretty optimistic evaluation. That's no slight on Richmond, but they are just (like hawthorn) beginning their rebuilding process, whereas Geelong are thereabouts to have a serious tilt at the flag.
I would think 4 years would be closer to the mark. Definately the case for Hawthorn, but it's debatable whether the Tiges actually started their rebuild last year, so maybe 3/4 for them.

Yeah, maybe 4 ... time will tell.
As for the last sentence, Richmond has certainly started to rebuild. Nicholls, Houlihan, Fleming, Fletcher, Blumfield, Marsh, Weller and Zantuck were all delisted - and regulars Ottens and Fiora traded for early picks and Simmonds.
That's a very substantial change in the playing list in a new coach's first two months at the helm. Especilaly considering ALL of our first 8 draft picks were spent on youngsters.
What I think you're confusing us with is the Hawks total bottoming-out approach, which is not the only way to rebuild. The Cats and Eagles never had sustained uselessness to get where they are.

I think you will find that Geelong do infact suck. The Catters couldn't even beat Richmond...in Geelong!
They also had NO major injuries this year (except for T.Lonegan, who lost a kidney in round 22), Richmond had broken bones left, right and centre.

No, thats not what i meant at all. Although i didn't really explain myself. I think what i meant was Geelong is ALWAYS looking for a forward since Ablett retired. They blame everything on the fact they don't have an Ablett around anymore.....well at least an Ablett esk player. I'am sick of it, they always whinge about it, What was Ottens for? Why get rid of Kent Kinglsey if he can get over 50 goals? Every club is looking for the next Gary Ablett Snr aren't they?, so you get no points for looking. So i don't ever want to hear another Geelong supporter tell me they need a forward, the truth is they were very lucky to find a gem in Ablett Snr and my point is Geelong fans arn't happy until they find another once in 50 years player liek Ablett snr.
And here comes Tom Hawkins....wow how lucky is that? Not bad for a club that whines about not picking up good forwards, and it just fell in their lap.
*shakes head*
P.S Western Bulldogs - Not Footscray (i think your still stuck in the 90s when Geelong had a player called Ablett)

I understand your point, but in my opinion it's totally incorrect. We certainly don't expect another player like Ablett to come along. But since he retired only 3 times has a Geelong player exceeded 50 goals in a season, over 10 seasons. That's just not good enough. Our forward line - or lack of it - has been a massive, massive problem.
What most Geelong supporters want is a quality key forward. Not great, not the best of all time, just good enough to help us kick winning scores. If that's a bad thing to hope for, you'll have to forgive us. And you can shake your head about Hawkins, but he hasn't played a game yet. Might be a dud.
By the way, I'm not living in the 90s, but I refuse to call a team something else just because a Marketing Manager tells me to. As half my family grew up in Yarraville, and I spent a lot of time at the Geelong Road end watching the Dogs, I'll call them what I want.

No. This year Collingwood came from 15th in 2005 and finished 5th after the H&A season.
Geelong were premiership favorites after 3 rounds, and ended up finishing 10th!!!!
Also, Geelong are the ONLY Victorian team with a REAL home ground advantage....and they still lost to Richmond there...and Hawthorn...and they managed only a draw against Melbourne at Kadinia Park.

It seems that the presence of a collingwood supporter is enough to start the windfall. Personally I dont see what started the pie bashing myself haha.

Interesting that you say that, 'cos this year when the Tigers beat Collingwood it was a shocking, wet'n windy day and I believe the reason for the loss (viewing from the comfort of my lounge-room) was mainly to do with the fact that the Pies had the match penciled in as a win before the ball was bounced, having beaten the reigning premiers easily in Sydney the week before had something to do with it I think....By the time the Collingwood players decided to pay Richmond any respect, you lot were 40points infront.....well done.
