do you think there has been a bigger upset in any other sport then this one?
like in footy its not often that dead last like hopelessly last beats the best team in that field of sport (eg collingwood beating eagles wouldnt count but carlton beating west coast this week would) like st kilda beatin brisbane a year or 2 ago down here would prob be closest in footy or hawks this year beating brisbane. im probably forgeting some games. what do you reakon any sport

A bunch of American college kids beat the mighty Russian Ice Hockey machine in the "Miracle on Ice".
The Russians hadn't lost a game in something like 15 years, and beat the USA
10-3 in a warm up game a few days before the Olympics.

Some good ones there.
1973 TANFL Grand Final between the unbeaten Sandy Bay and Hobart would be another.
The Bay had not lost a game all season - never even went within 8 goals of being beaten in fact - and were going for 3 flags in a row, up against Hobart which had come off 5 wooden spoons in its last 6 years previous, and who were on the bottom half way through the '73 season.
As history would have it, Hobart snuck into the four and muddled its way through to the big one with a series of narrow wins.
The Bay, so confidant of winning the premiership, had a fully booked out premiership gala-dinner for 600 people at the newly opened Wrest Point Casino all ready to go. The banner had read "21-today" denoting the Bay going for its 21st straight win.
The Bay were unbackable odds on the day with the bookies.
Hobart came out and pressured the Seagulls into submission and rolled them by 20-points in the biggest upset in Tasmanian football history.
The sight of a near empty "premiership celebration" and grown men crying openly into thier beers, a stark memory of that big upset.

On Betfair you couldn't get 1.01 on Australia, so the odds were over 100 to 1. I have seen mention of Bangladesh being 150 to 1.

I heard somewhere that they were 170/1 on Betfair. As a keen punter that even surprised me, and based on odds, surely that would have to be the biggest upset in the history of sport. Australia were unbackable, and I mean unbackable (1.00)
