you poor fellas are stuck up there and i am a nig fan of your competition.
My grandfather brian barclay and my father peter barclay both played for donald. brian barclay advanced his career to play football for the mighty fitzroy lions and coached donald after his retirement. my father got recruited to doncaster and was recruited to fitzroy. :)

i just wanna inform the north central footy league coz i am a big fan. I do alot of travelling up that way. I was rapt to see that donald won the granny this year.
atleast have a relevant thing to say

I hail from close by to Donald ... basically from the other side of Batyo.

I have only visited the Donald ground 2 or 3 times, and have been to either Wyche or Wedderburn once (too young at the time to remember which ground, had a big dam area in the property next door, and something that looked like a big row of cypress trees between. If anyone has ever been to those two grounds (Wyche & Wedder) and can differentiate them for me, I'd appreciate it.

I have also been to a ground at Charlton, but I think it was a secondary ground (round back over the river), as it didn't seem to have a pavilion. I went there to see Marnoo play cricket against Charlton, approx early 1990s.

Finally, I have been to either Saint Arnaud's ground (which I presume is still KGP), or to their racecourse, for the St Arnaud show, again as a young'n. Dunno which arena it was, probably racecourse.

Every now and then there's a rumour that Donald and/or Snuh will up and off to the Wimmera FL and the others will peel off to Mallee, Central Murray FL and Loddon Valley FL. It is getting harder to field sides in the Wimmera and Mallee every year.

I was at Donald watching them play I-dunno-who in 1989 on the day Darren Millane fell on Richard Osborne's leg and ended Fitzroy's run for the finals.

Marnoo used to get a few players from Donald.
