I would've actually said he will be a good thing!

Agreed, although I still think he'll be a another year before he gets a regular game.... In which time, hopefully he'll beef up a little, and become our very own Bomber Primus!;)

I guess his exposure to the big boys in 2002 will depend on the results of the trading period...

Thanks Sandie...but i am glad that last week's game wasn't a draw. My birthday, October 6, holds some bad memories.

Cast your mind back to 1990 and you'll know what i mean :(

As for last week...i've moved on...thinking about 2002 now! :)

David Hille will be a great player. He just needs a bit more practice and he'll be fine.

Whilst your mob don't produce too many duds, David Hille is definitely one, hell even Chooka Barnes got a game ahead of him.

youre kidding right
exactly how many times have you seen hille play

i saw every single one of his games this year, and the boy has talent
he is only 20 (?) and like all ruckman, he will take time to develop
his tap work is spot on, i havent seen too many ruckman with the ability to tap the ball straight to a team mate on so many occasions
he is mobile and good over the ground
and is a handy forward with a good kick

his problem this season was fitness, didnt complete a full preseason and carried injuries throughout the year
next year will be his third at the club, and his first of regular afl football
you will soon change youre opinion on him, im sure

Yep - very impressed with what I saw yesterday.

It'll take a year or so to really get his eye in, but if we can try not to burn him out with too much ruckwork over the next couple of years, he could really do well.

David Hille didn't even jump yesterday in the ruck contest. Why was that? I know he was going to get beaten in any case, but why couldn't he actually leave the ground just a little. As Robert Walls said on the telecast, David Hille has got no idea about ruckwork.

Around the ground he isn't too bad, I'll give him credit for that.

And despite that, people still call Sheedy an idiot for picking up Salmon.
