The Bombers won again , best for us as far as prospective call ups where Winderlich, Richards , Cartledge and Hunt.
Winderlich was fantastic, ran and tackled hard all day and got plenty of it.
Richards played super in defence, gave us good run from the backline and took some good grabs.
Cartledge rucked for 3/4 and was good around the gound .
Hunt was another who ran hard all day and played well.
Jay Nash wasnt as brilliant as the above 4 but he played another solid game and didnt do his selection chances any harm.
Jobe had a so so day , did a few nice things but never really stamped himself on the game. Watching him go around today i dont really know where he is going to fit in, too small for a key postion but he is too slow for our midfield.
There is no doubting his skills but he just lumbers along at times.
Henno was Henno , Alvey wasnt as good as last week but played ok.

Carts will play next week. And we could do worse than give Winderlich, Nash and Hunt a run.

Id love to see nash get a guernsey as he is a classy user of the footy...more of them in our side the better.

Should give Jolly a wrap as well , he was very good and didnt mind doing some of the hard stuff.

Ben Jolley is going to develop into a very good footballer.
Would love for Essendon to promote him to the Senior list for next season, looks a good prospect.

Wrapped that Winderlich, Nash and Richards were in the best.

With slippery ground conditions, it was a good performance generally from all concerned.

Next week: The now slightly vulnerable, ladder-leading Werribee @ Bendigo. It's for top spot.

Ben Jolley is going to develop into a very good footballer.

We're in a bit of a bind with him. We have to promote the two Lovett's and if we promote Jolley as well (which under normal circumstances, we would) that meams we have to delist 6, possibly 7 players next year. Thats not including Allans retirement.

So promote : Lovett, NLM and Jolley
National draft : 3 players
PSD : 1 player

Thats a lot of changes at the club and who even knows about the contract situation. I know Bolton's still got one year to go so he has to stay on the list as he's otherwise untradeable.

But I'm really keen on Jolley. He's got speed, plenty of courage and he's really hungry for an opportunity.

I'd hate to see him at another club because we didn't leave ouselves enough room to move.

I think Jolley will definately be promoted. And there will be plenty of spots on the list come year's end.

We're in a bit of a bind with him.

No we're not.
Just leave him on the rookie list, first up to get an opportunity next season.

He's an Essendon supporter, grew up in Strathmore, loves the club, lives and breathes red and black.
We offer him another year on the rookie list and he aint going anywhere.

He'll stay, no problems.
