Was Sheedy's statement that they had to win the flag for Jimmy an echo of Peter Schwab's infamous statement last year.
We are going to win the premiership . . . You can't go into a competition and say we're going to be happy to finish ninth or 10th . . . We're going to aim much higher than that."
Will he also get the sack like Schwab, since he has taken them from being a contender to a bottom four side? And potentially even lower over the next four years once Hird,Fletcher,etc give the game away.Like Carlton there is a lot of deadwood on the list,under-performers,dud picks and re-treads that need to be moved on.But unlike Pagan,Sheedy has recruited the duds with picks and had other options than having to go with with recycled players.

Sheedy has been an outstanding coach over a 25 year period, Schwab just rid the success coming from the Judge era.
Having said that, Sheedy has been disappointing this year.
But he will never be sacked

Exactly right he wont be sacked. And to answer the question NO he has'nt "Done a Peter Schwab". Sheedy is a coach, Schwab WAS NEVER a quality coach.

Sheedy is such an ignorant ********!Today he again showed what a tool he is complaining about Hird not being able to play because his tagger was holding onto him and he couldn't push him away with his broken hand.If you're injured why are you playing?Seriously Sheedy is getting more and more annoying with his stupid comments and acting.

I think every club should be planning to win the premiership.
I had no problem with what Schwab said, and I don't with Sheedy either.

He still said they had to win a flag for Jimmy when a blindman could see they weren't anywhere near challenging. And his recruiting of readymade players is still as flawed and pathetic as when Carlton did it.
The Master of spin continuously takes the media's eyes of the ball by talking about Ramanauskas's troubles, Rioli's 100th, Richmond's Basketball crap, Ryder's the best pick, etc.
Sooner or later the media have to ignore the copy they give him and hold him accountable like every other coach for his decisions.

the media must realise that nobody takes his opinions serious anymore except for essendon fans, he needs to get a hold of the reality of modern footy,
