B: Scotland Livo Teague
HB: Bryan Morrell McGrath
C: Waite Simpson Carrazzo
HF: Lappin Whitnall Walker
F: Fisher Fevola Koutoufides
R: French Stevens Camporeale
INT: Houlihan Betts Bentick Bowyer

McGrath to run with Hodge
Walker to run with Crawford
Bentick to spend more time on the ground than off it
Lappin to play as a crumbing forward, Betts taking his place when skinny goes onto the ball

IN: French, Bentick, Morrell, Houlihan
OUT: Thornton (inj), Longmuir, Prenda (essentially for French), Johnson (to give Bentick a run).

Having said that i'd be surprised if we didn't play Johnson against his old club.

In: Norman, Bentick, French,
Out: Prendergast, Johnson, Betts

Norman to play back - we need to replace Thornton and we need to see if he can cut it before the end of the year.
Bentick - deserve a go.
French back from injury meaning Prendergast is out

Think Betts should be played full games in the VFL until they are confident to give him some more game time and to see whether he can play midfield consistently against bigger bodies...he sure knows how to place pressure on the opposition.

Tempted to drop Bowyer or Longmuir for Morrell but they have both been playing well. I liked the look of Fisher and Longmuir in the forward line last week. I think Bowyer's been good and doing some of the tough stuff and , of all the so called "duds", could be a smoky to be retained on the list next year.

longmuir had his best game for us on the weekend
can't see bryan playing as a backman, will likely be on the bench changng with french who may be a bit underdone
waite tore the hawks apart earlier in the season, he would stretch the hawks more than kouta woud in a fwd role
scotland found some form on the weekend, give him another week on the ball to see if he can continue
simpson would be better suited to a wing, if we can feed the ball out to him his pace can be damaging

shacka sorry to pick holes through your team.

I reckon Bryan could be dropped for French..... I want Prenda to be, but my guess would be Bryan will be told to go back to the Bullants.

nah, that's fine, didn't post it just so people would agree

i was just thinking i'd like to see a few of the younger guys get game time in the middle this week. i think i'd prefer Waite as a midfielder rather than a forward, though that might not be the general feeling.

also was think of Bryan as more of a lose man, with the Hawks lack of forward options i think he could work infront of Williams. plus it means he'll be down there for the kick-ins.

I hope Bryan is not dropped, I doubt it very very much but I guess you never know with Denis. I hope Normo, French, Bentick and Russell all come in and Bowyer, Johnson, Prendergast are out with Thornton our due to injury. Wouldn't mind seeing Blackwell play this year and hopefully Smith if he gets promoted. What are peoples thoughts of Smith and Becker????

Just want to see Karl Norman given a chance. Hopefully at the expense of Glen Bowyer.

Dennis likes Smith. He is a ball magnet and a very hard at it player. He will be promoted next year. Becker got a good wrap from Denis the other week and will be on the list next year.
If Bentick does not get a game soon the writing is on the wall for him. He is playing very well in the VFL and I hope he is kept.
The problem is he and Smith are not quick. Blackwell had his best game last week in the VFL and will get a game before the season finishes.

Sounds good Mojo31. Before the draft I heard big wraps on Smith and Becke and then they didn't get picked up. I think it was Kevin Sheahan who said the Blues did very well to pick both of them up as rookies. I think he rates them highly! Wat sort of possessions are they getting along with Blackwell , Russell and Bentick.

Hey Mojo31 give mey your thoughts on the following players that could be available to the Blues:
- J.Saddington
- M.Bolton
- N.Fosdike
- S.Salopek
- F.Watts
- T.Chaplin
- J.Wooden
- M.McGough
- J.Gram
- S.Doyle

Are any of these guys worth chasing?

I'd like to nab Fergus Watts.

the only ones i would think about getting are saddington - add a bit of height to the backline and fergus watts and steven salopek - just because they are still young and were fairly high in the draft.

I want to see Blackwell debut and have a look at him at the top level but if the selection committee don't believe he's ready then I'd keep Johnson in the team.

Ryley Dunn from Fremantle is another player we should be targeting.

Good luck Saturday Blueboys i hope it's a good game .If your experienced players (Whitnall ,Fevola)step up i think our young line- up will be up against it.We've both had a pretty crap run over the last few years but if the system works we'll both be back up there again sooner rather than later. Two clubs with a combined tally of 25 premierships don't belong down the bottom.
