For consistent performances, Paul Kirby, can't be far off the mark for a man who has played in a struggling team...

Shane Schottner is having another great year..

Ill run with that as well mate and would even throw Linc Wellington in as well.
Brendan Stevens would be far off as well as Saad Saad and Scotty Grainger.

Hi Guys
Long time reader and only a couple of times a writer!!! FOOTYBOSS or should i say euroa football player who we all know but will remain nameless for safety reasons!!!! Great to see that FOOTYBOSS has started this new thread just to see who the best footballer is in the GVFL!!!! My vote for best footballer running around at the moment is a bloke by the name of shane whitelaw!!! He is a 2's player for euroa and has the best flapping mullet you will ever see!!!! As for Mark Jansz being the worst player i would have to disagree strongly with that one!!! He has done his job everyweek changing at CHF with lukey Hyatt which is probably the toughest job going around in football!!! Wouldnt know too many other players that can go all day changing Ruck to CHF!!! My tip for worst player would be a bloke by the name of Adam McBrien from euroa!!! Watched him play against Rochester earlier in the year and it was amusing when the closest he got to the game all day was when he punched the goal post and injured his hand after pulling up lame from a chase!!! Loves drinking crowinies from what i have heard!!!

Bit hard to say the worst player is someone, maybe it is better to say the player who does not live up to his reputation.... if he has one!!
I can only judge on Jansz when we (tonny) played them, he ran around like a millionaire but got towelled up by mark reid.
As for best player archard would be there, kirbs, matty byes would have to get a say too.

That was very amusing to watch wasnt it GVFLFAN and he still cant get near the ball now that he has made his comeback. Should be still in twos if you ask me.. Doesnt train and doesnt get many touches.. I did notice that his opponent last week got in the best as well.. He must be struggling big time and lucky to hold his spot... You are true that is a tough position to change ruck and your body musnt pull up to good...

yes, he is very good. fantastic pair of hands. the word is he will be doing a pre-season with essendon, really hope he makes it. they obviously saw enough in him in his performances at inter-league level.

I think the rhys archard call of him being the best in the gv this year is purely coming from his reputation. I think you will find that this year has been far from his best. there have been better players than him out there.

Brendan Stevens would be one, heard some strong talk that probably 4 rounds ago he was leading the comp medal by a street, but the last 4 or 5 weeks have been a downer for the Saints so it could all change.

No.66 is Nathan Whipp. He's a pretty handy player - quick, good skills and good hands for a player his size. He threatened to blow the game wide open in the 3rd.

Defiantely not the best player in the gvfl. Not sure who it is as there are so many good players, but hard to go past mensch and hotton. Interesting to see who takes out the league medal this year.

Not sure if you read what I posted correctly. Samtrish asked who No.66 was for Rochester and I told him. I never said he was the best player in the GVFL. He is, however, a pretty handy footballer.
Same for Dean Moon, who I mentioned earlier this thread. He may not have the big reputation as Mensch, Hotton, the Campbell's etc. but he is have a superb year. I was talking to some blokes from Euroa the other day and they think he is a good chance to win the medal. He probably won't, but he has been fantastic this year (which is what this thread is about).
Also Samtrish, No. 5 for Rochester is Clint Witsed. He is originally from is the Bendigo FL (can't remember which club). He is a pretty handy player.

well people as a few have already said it is a very hard question to answer as we all see players on different weeks play better than other weeks so this could be debated until the cows come home. however were all here to give our opinions on each topic and here is mine- at the moment the best player would have to be grainger from euroa.has kicked 60 odd goals in about the last 8 or 9 weeks. fair average. mind you he has probably the best delivery out of all the ff in the league with sage clayton gibson lamaro stott howse etc so this sort of return could almost be expected. i think the player who would be a very close second would have to be beyers from shepp-ball magnet who just keeps performing. does anyone agree/disagree?

Ddidn't Whipp win the two's medal last year?
Isnt saad from seymour having a good year, also travis eddy from united, the team is really struggling but he has been their best player for the year

yes, he was a joint winner. think he only played 8 games for the year, all of those in the first half of the season spending the last half in the seniors. it was a low scoring victory from memory.

Its about time you said something sensible on big footy samtrish, he is going along nicely and is looming as the man that can take mansfield to consecitive flags. Hard player to match up on. Also another player travelling allright at the moment is adrian hamill

Hi all,
This may be a reply that has been a long time coming but after watching Euroa tackle Shepparton on the weekend i believe their is a new leader in the worst player in the GVFL this year and he happens to be playing for the team on top....Euroa.
Adam McBrien is his name and i don't know what the coach is on even thinking about playing this bloke in the seniors!!!! I think he sat on the david dench all day watching the magpies come from nowhere to steal the game from the bears!!! I have heard that he has an alchohol problem which may be affecting his football!!! Heard he is seeking an AA metting in the near future!!! Do any of you euroa players know what is going on with this loose cannon????
