How do people think the eight will end up, and who is your premiership tip?
Murray vs Gippy for mine with Gippy to win the GF but the Rays may really shake it up once the School kids get back, particularly Jones.
1. Gippsland
2. Dandenong
3. Murray
4. Eastern
5. Nth Ballarat
6. Geelong
7. Calder
8. Oakleigh
Gippsland Premiers, chance for all sorts of upsets in last few weeks.

My Final 8 as follows:
1. Gippsland
2. Dandenong
3. Murray
4. North Ballarat
5. Geelong
6. Calder
7. Eastern
8. Northern Knights
Gippsland have Northern & Western at home with Dandenong away. Should win all 3, however, can afford to lose one and still finish on top thanks to a well earned superior percentage.
Dandenong have home games against Gippsland & Eastern with Bendigo away and should win 2 of those to maintain second position.
Murray have an excellent run home with home games against Sandy and Calder with Bendigo away. Should win all 3 to finish 3rd.
Norh Ballarat play the Jets and Oakleigh at home with an away game against Eastern being the only concern. Given their recent form they should be able to outlast Eastern. Should achieve the double chance.
Geelong are away against Eastern and Northern and home against Western. Two wins should see them finish in 5th or 6th spot with the fast finishing Calder who have Oakleigh & Murray away with Sandy at home. Percentage between the two will be close.
Eastern have the tough run home, playing Geelong & North Ballarat at home and Dandenong away. I believe that 7th may be the best that they can hope for.
I don't see the Northern Knights winning their games against Gippsland or Geelong, however, they have Oakleigh away which is a must win game for them and Oakleigh. Oakleigh have to face North Ballarat and Calder in their other games and I can't see them winning one of those on their current form. This will leave Northern sitting in 8th. Oakleighs pitiful percentage (79.52%) will do them no favours.
After watching Gippsland v/s Oakleigh in early June I posted a reply indicating that Oakleigh would struggle to make the finals as their performance that day was insipid. Despite being two games clear in the 8 they showed nothing that day and their performances since has justified my comment at the time.
Gippsland to win the flag for mine. They have an excellent blend of first and second year players that are playing an exciting brand of team football at the right end of the season. If the finals are played on heavy grounds, however, North Ballarat may surprise.

Good post jimmyjess. Reckon you got it pretty close there, although if Murray and Calder win their next two matches each, Calder might be able to leap over the top of Murray with a win at Lavington in the last match and sneak a top four spot (depends on percentage, close at the moment, but could change considerably in the next two matches).
A few sides will change a bit once the private school blokes come back, so it'll be interesting to see how many each side includes.

With VFL and Amateur commitments, their ground Trevor Barker Oval was available on very few occassions this season. Fairly ordinary situation, and one that Football Vic need to look into. Maybe the Dragons need to move to another ground (eg. Moorabbin).

I agree with you, they should look at doing that. I believe Oakleigh are sole tenant of their ground. Same goes for Dandenong at Shepley Oval. They should play a few Sandy home games at each of those grounds.
The less games at those two grounds the better. Little grounds, congested footy, suits players who struggle when they get onto AFL style grounds.
