View Full Version : Changes vs Hawthorn

In: McVeigh Watson
Out: Fletcher Murphy

I'd also bring in Cartledge for Henno if we're planning to use Henno as 2nd ruck and not as a permanent defender.

Watson kicked 4 in the 2's today. We'd be very inexperienced but so are Hawthorn so that's no excuse.

We should win by 6 goals but without Fletch there's always the possibility things could go wrong.

Henno will get a week anyway.

Pretty much agree with your changes.
I'd like to find a spot for Wilson or Nash, but the only one I'd like to see come out is Bolton and I don't know if that is going to happen.

Jobe was heaps better for Bendigo today. He looks a better player when he is used as a leading forward and a bit player in the middle rather than a straight out mid fielder.
Hunt , Thomas and Wilson where all very good for us.
Cupes didnt play as i belive he has some sort of slight injury.
Tristan wasnt too bad today but he has had better games. The conditions after half time didnt help him much.

We can't afford to leave our backline too small.

Therefore:

Out: Fletcher, Murphy
In: McVeigh, Cartledge

Side:

B: Welsh, Richards, Bradley
HB: McVeigh, Henneman, Lovett-Murray
C: Dyson, M. Johnson, Stanton
HF: Hird, Lucas, Rioli
F: Lovett, Lloyd, Winderlich
R: Hille, J. Johnson, Peverill
Int: Bolton, Cartledge, Monfries, Slattery

Henneman will be suspended imo.

IN: Cartledge, Watson, Thomas
OUT: Henneman (suspended), Fletcher (injured), Murphy (ineptness)

Cartledge must be played. We are most thin with talls and rucks, and he fills both.

Forgot about McVeigh.

I might have McVeigh, Cartledge, and Thomas in then.

Rumour going around that Rioli's season might be over with a minor knee complaint (might explain his form). If true then...

Out: Fletcher Henneman Rioli Murphy
In: McVeigh Cartledge Watson Thomas

Wilson looks to have blown his chances of an AFL career with a late night incident.

Reckon Hunt should be given a chance in a position that he is used to in the seniors. With no Fletcher at full back Hunt should be given the chance in the full back position to see if he can cut it.

Williams might suit Hunt as he is a fast straight leading forward and pace is one of Hunts strengths running straight. Thats if Williams plays with his position in doubt according to some.

did yu see the strapping on his knee against Sydney - didn't look remotely fit and if so, like solomon and McPhee should be rested and got right for next year. Very disappointing season Dean.

As for Wilson - you would think thats it for him - could have got a shot, but that type of commitment when you are on the verge may speak volumes to the club.

Out: Fletcher Henneman Rioli (if inj.)
In: McVeigh, Hunt, Watson/Thomas

He'll ruck Bradley and play Richards Hunt NLM and Bolts down back.

My team

Welsh Hunt Wilson
NLM Bradley Richards
MJ Dyson Winderlich
Hird Lucas Lovett
Cartledge Lloyd Watson

R Hille Stanton J Johnson

INT: Peverill, Slattery, Cupido, Monfries

- Assuming McPhee and Rioli arent available
- I know Wilson wont play but Id like to see him given a shot, we have nothing to lose, his a decent player, he'd be fired up and those security guards at Crown are arrogant pricks anyway

Would have to be one of the youngest Bomber backlines in history!

Yeah, but that isn't a bad thing and its Hawthorn anyway. Lets give these young blokes a chance and see who rises to the occasion.

I also forgot to put McVeigh in the team so Id bring him in instead of Peverill though more likely Wilson
