View Full Version : Flying under the radar
Hey guys,
I've been in Melbourne since Saturday night and it's just astounds me at how little credit the Crows get over here. Unfortunatly I didn't get to see the game against the Dee's but in respects to that game all the talk is about how well Melbourne played considering how many players were out of the team.
We are being hugely underrated over here and now the Saints are the favourites to win the flag, West Coast are just about gone, the Bulldogs are apparently going to make a late run to the premiership and the Crows don't get any mention at all.
Let's hope that by the time they all notice it'll be too late.
On another note, I picked my girlfriend up from Melb. Airport on Sat night as she had to work during the day while I drove over and Scott Thompson got off of her plane. His girlfriend was waiting for him, I guess the club allows him to come here after games so he can see her.

Well I live in Melbourne now, moved here in January,
You hear nothing about the Crows at all....it's all about the Saints and now the Bulldogs.
We aren't rated, nor are we not rated, we are just there in the eye of the Melbournians.
It's excellent, because St Kilda will be feeling a lot of the pressure while we will fly under the rader ala 97, 98.

I listened to the game on 3AW. I had to double check the scores at the end, because the way Rex and Gary Lyon were blowing smoke I thought the Dees had scored a memorable win. The trouble was I decided to look for the scores in the Hun, and when I saw the headline "Demons salvage pride" I feared the worst. I had to come on here just to check that we really _did_ win. ;)

Let's stay under the radar by all means. The Crows are awesome at present. They look so strong at the end of games. Good signs for September.

Finding this board is the best thing that ever happened to me as a Crows fan. Hell, I wouldn't even know who Van Berlo and Knights were until they debuted if it wasn't for BF.
That's just how it goes over here. We'll get a double page spread about some depth player from Victoria, but aside from the odd article here and there we get sweet FA.
Adelaide Crows - Flying under the radar since 1991. :p

I wish I did.

And nothing mentioned about Craigs media conference, or the way the dees guys in the photo played illegally either.
