A fundraiser for Lee Blake will be held on 23 August at The Raglan’s Hotel 109 Waymouth Street in the city with special guest, AFL superstar WAYNE CAREY speaking about his life and football experiences.
Starting at 8pm the night will benefit Norwood player Lee Blake who has again been diagnosed with Leukemia.
$20 at the door to raise funds for Blakey to assist him in climbing another mountain.
Lee was overwhelmed with the support he received last weekend. He has begun his treatment and is likely sitting in a hospital bed at this moment feeling nauseous having already commenced chemotherapy. Blakey has the admiration of thousands and an unwavering commitment from the club, his club, to do what is possible to assist him in recovering. Lee has shown his colours, Norwood will be there for him. <Source (http://sanfl.com.au/default.aspx?pg=news&spg=display&articleid=33748)>
Should be good to hear Waybe Carey , and going to a good cause. You really do have to feel for this poor guy :(
