Mark Williams....Lets hope my coach shows the same high moral ground you did with Nick Stevens and doesnt accept mediocre players if Johnno doesnt sign a new contract with us. On one hand youre talking about replacing midfielders that you lost yet are not even giving an opportunity to someone like salopek to step up in the midfield.

Now if my club's players havent learnt yet that sometimes its not about the money, (look at the saints, bris, wce etc) well I'll just give up! If he does decide to go to port as I said dont take crap for him. If they do offer that, I'll be more than happy for him to get picked up by either collingwood or hawthorn(how funny would that be) in the PSD and learn the hard lessons!

I think he'll sign though, just discussing the above with my bro last night.

MJ hasn't told his manager to look elsewhere. I don't think he'll leave.

Its been reported they are miles apart in terms of dollars. But I think after the solly incident he will sign. To good to loose, just like harsdwick was.

Actually i find it amusing that Williams is looking at MJ and Bullen to boost the midfield. MJ is a great player but he isnt a midfielder . He can have a go in there at times but gets exposed for pace and endurance if left there too long.As for Bullen, an extra draft pick will be much appreciated.

I couldn't see Johnson leaving the Dons. I reckon Choco's just shaking a few trees to see what falls loose. And it'd be good for Johnson's contract negotiations too. On Salopek, Choco has played him whenever he's been fit, so you can't ping him on that one.

Just out of curiosity tho, if you could've screwed the Tiges for a first round pick or two for Solomon, which would you rather?

Draft picks for Solomon.

still take solomon, he showed last year when he came 3rd or 4th in the best and fairest that he leads from the front with his impact on games through his football and his aggression.

was stuffed around by injury and sheedy playing him injured this year.

A couple of Port's Football Department are ex-Essendon staff.
No suprise if he was talking to them.

But any talk surrounding MJ going to Port would be done through his manager. So if the above rumour is accurate, I'm pretty certain it would be innocent.
