News reports on 10 and 7 tonight have stated that Neil Craig is a leading contender for the Eagles and Dockers jobs and has been interviewed several times by the Eagles. Ten also reports that Port Magpies Stephen Williams and Darren Jarman may fill Craig's spot if he leaves. I would also add Peter Jonas to that list, however I am really keen for the club to offer Darren with a coaching job (I think the players are too!)

Nigel Smart will be appearing on the Australia Talks program on the ABC, Thursday, 11 October at 9.30pm. According to http://www.abc.net.au/australiatalks/

This episode's panellists are:

Alexander Downer - Foreign Minister

Kate Lundy - Shadow Minister on Sport and Youth Affairs

Meg Lees - Former Democrats Leader

Nigel Smart - Adelaide Crows Footballer and Political Science Graduate

Peter Sellars - Adelaide Festival Artistic Director

That's what I thought too, but they should definatley speak to him if a spot is available.

I will be very disappointed if the Crows don't sign up Jarman as an assistant coach, regardless if Craig heads west. I believe one of their major problems at the moment is Micken (a ruckman) is the forward coach, which may explain why have often struggled for system! Jarman should be giving the forwards personal training - particularly Perrie & Schell with their kicking skills.

Well, Craig has now pulled out of the race for both the WCE and Freo jobs and he was reportedly all but over the line for the Eagles post. He's either heard the negative feedback from the WA public and had visions of being another Robert Shaw, or Adelaide have tipped him the wink that he's next in line for the Crows job - sooner or later...

I've heard that Craig has pulled out only on bigfooty, and want to know where you have heard it from?
