Banyule Bears and Fitzroy Reds will be the first two regional sides to be in A grade in Amateurs I believe.

You keep on believing. Believing is a good thing. Hopefully they won't cart you off in a white coat too soon.

I believe he's talking about the u19's team.

Obviously you're saying the first two regional/suburban sides to get back into A Grade (conveniently ignoring that Ormond won a truckload of A Grade flags in the late 80's). However, for both those nominated, I think it'd be a first.
Banyule has the perennial problem of being on the DVFL fringe and their gun juniors would be courted with $$$ from local clubs keen to splash it around. Always going to hamper club development.
Redz haven't got the same problem, but I think Beaumaris have a head start now they're back in B section. With the SFL declining, and St Bedes being relegated to C section, now's the best chance for Beauy to consolidate in B Grade and push up the ladder in the future.
Agree with Scribe about Beauy. Strong local club to boot.
Ormond have the history behind them to suggest they can climb up..and being back in C Grade is a good start.
One choice not listed so far is Parkdale Vultures. Their home ground advantage down at Gerry Green is a strong one and the improvements are being made consistently down there.
