Port have boldly answered the fans calls for cheaper season tickets, as they lowered ticket prices to the lowest in AFL football at the moment.

if fans dont come along now....then we are rooted financially.
$110 for a season ticket behind the goals. Thats a fantastic price. If people still complain about prices now i think im gonna be sick!

U can't get any cheaper than that to a major national sporting league. Correct me if I'm wrong...and before u say it, Eago77, that doesn't mean lazing around on the couch, drinking beer and watching the games on TV!

Big deal, prices, weather or games played Saturday night have nothing to do with Port's poor attendance figures. The bottom line is Port only has 25,000 true supporters.

What the club needs to do is go to Primary schools and have such things as coaching clinics and give away free tickets to these kids to their games. They need to convert this next generation of football supporters who know nothing about SANFL football history into Port supporters. It might take 10-15 years but it is the long term anwser to their current problem not some quick fix like reducing ticket prices.

They're already doing all of that, carb. :)

The only other thing they could do would be to try and negotiate the SANFL catering to either a) improve their food or b) start charging what their crud is actually worth.....when people ring up the radio to complain, its usually about the cost of food for a family too.
