Anyone get the feeling that our main problem this year has been players waiting for this moment? Once they had been to the top of the mountain, perhaps minor round games seemed a little passe. But now they can smell silver, they are well and truly awake.

Thanks Shinboners, for running us into red-hot form, just at the right time.

100% positive.

I'd also like to thank Dean Laidley for helping improve our finals record, which from his lofty position he has judged not to be up to scratch.

"They did terrifically well in last year's finals but they've only won five of 12 finals in the last few years, so it's not a great record," Laidley said. "I'm not playing on it but they are the ones talking themselves up."

Just remember Dean and Adam, you need a mind to play mind games.

There's things to like and respect about North Melbourne as a club, Dean Laidley is not one of them. He only ever opens his Frank Burns-mealymouth to have a whinge. This will keep it shut for a while.

I was waiting for him to say that we didn't play very well, that his side lost the game etc etc.......like he did when they lost to the Cows. Reminds me of Grant Thomas a few seasons ago.
