View Full Version : ING Match : NSW vs Tas (14/10)
After 21 overs, NSW are 0/170 (8.10 rpo)
Haddin 89 off 63 balls - S/R 141
M.Waugh 73 off 64 balls - S/R 114
41 runs off the last 3 overs (13, 12, 16)
Tasmania are getting slaughtered, 5 medium pace bowlers used to date, all getting carted.
Thankfully it's on telly so I can watch this carnage. Brilliant batting display, decimating a pretty ordinary and same-ish bowling attack. :)

This batting display is why I enjoy the one day games more than test matches.
Same here, but mainly if my favourite players/teams are playing (ie. NSW, WA, Darren Lehmann, Matty Hayden are grouse to watch).
0/206 after 25.4 overs, with S.Lee, Bevan, Slater all to come.
Congrats to Brad Haddin on what I think is his first domestic 100!!
The record team score is 325 for 50 overs, and it looks like being surpassed. This bowling attack is very pedestrian.
I wanna see big Donny Nash have a crack at these spastics!
Haddin out for 120 (off 84)
Score 1/228 off 28.4 overs, and my wish has been granted - Don Nash up to #3 as the pinch-hitter. Let's hope he stays there for a while, this boy is a huge hitter and can score DAMN quick!
BUGGER!
Nash went the big hit off his third ball, and was caught near the fence for a duck! :(
Congrats to Mark Waugh on his 100!
Oh no... they're falling apart... 2/231 LOL :D
WOW! Blues are caining!!
SLATER JUST WENT OUT CAUGHT IN THE DEEP FOR 31.
After 50 overs
NSW 4/397
S.Lee - 42no off 17 balls
M.Bevan - 68no off 64 balls
Last partnership 73* off 5.3 overs!
Tasmania have a good batting line up, and their bowlers have always been their weakness.
Against McGrath, S.Lee, Bradstreet, MacGill, Nash and co., there's no way Tasmania will get close to the NSW tally, even on such a small oval. Should make a normally respectable score off 200-250, but a win is out of the question.

Haddin's 2nd one-day ton first for the blues scored one with the comets
Well what a match that was to watch. New South win by 35 runs on D/L method   , Brad Haddin has been given man of the match for his magnificent century.
I was hoping Di Venuto would go on a make a 100 but got out very unluckly.

That was an amazing match! Is Bankstown Oval really tiny or were all the players in a slog-happy mood? Huge innings by Brad Haddin, I guess he's booked a place in the Australia A side, maybe even get a game for the senior team if they rest Gilchrist during the summer.
NSW had a cracker of an innings, all their players got with the runs. Shane Lee had a top game, with the bat and in the field. His 2 early catches were outstanding.
For Tasmania, the 35 run defeat sounds a lot better then it actually was. I think NSW would of definately been aiming for the bonus point here. Maybe it would of been even closer or a different result if Ponting stayed on a bit.

Oval looked pretty small, but NSW's large score can be put down to a very ordinary Tasmanian attack. NSW's attack is good but not great, and is struggling in the Shield match at the moment (Tasmania are 4/328).
